We had a Ct Valley modular built over 20 years in Gales Ferry. It is built so well that even contractors have said so when they have come to do projects. My entire experience with Ct Valley has been only positive and I am always bragging how much I love my house. I think having the house built in a control environment also has been a factor. I did and still do think you would not regret using Ct Valley as your builder.

Our experience working with CT Valley homes was quite favorable. This was our second home using CT Valley - and we were pleased with the results. Our home design was more complex than your average modular house - so we really pushed them to the limit as to what can be accomplished using a modular approach to home building - but both the factory and on-site crews were able to get it done and looking great! This all happened during a challenging time period, when the construction industry as a whole was experiencing major supply chain issues - so although we had delays, I feel the resolve to get it done within these parameters was really better than expected. When we did have quality or other concerns, the team at CT Valley made every effort to correct the problems and make it right - and the local team of workers were very committed to making sure we got the results we expected - they truly seemed to have our best interest at heart.

I made an appointment and went to the model home in hopes of gaining some information on the product and pricing. What I received was nothing, the Sales Manager did not want to be bothered, he threw some generic pricing up on a large screen with no explanation. The house I was interested in which was just under 2000 sqft came out to almost $700k, absolutely crazy! Going back to the line items, the Salesperson priced the kitchen and bathrooms without discussing fixtures or finishes, how does that work? The HVAC system was priced without discussing what type of system I preferred. I understand the pricing is budgetary high end numbers, but, you can actually buy a comparable home with a lot for the same or less money. I have always heard that Connecticut Valley Homes (CVH) built nice homes, I expected a professional detailed meeting, I experienced the opposite. My advice is, if you are planning to build, go to other builders and modular dealers first and CVH last.

We built our home with Connecticut Valley Homes during the height of covid. Needless to say, we had many obstacles to overcome. Working with Amanda was delightful. She is honest, kind and caring about how things are coming along during the build. She made sure that every obstacle was taken care of. The most remarkable part, is that we just had some issues with our windows three years later and she came through again. She did not forget us, even when there was no more money to be made. I would highly recommend her to my closest friends.

I have never lived in a brand new house before much less build one! Luckily we signed up in October 2019 and their designers gave good advice in picking out kitchen cabinets, knobs, bathroom fixtures and panels to match on my dishwasher and refrigerator. Loved the plan and design. My new house is on my original lot as we tore down the old one. Took care of everything starting with removing many trees. Covid came in 2020 and their factory was shut down for a couple of months. We bought everything locally i.e. appliances, furniture store, etc. and stored them for a year. Excellent work from the beginning to end. Will's men worked with our private people as for my music system and the painter as well with town officials. My home is beautiful and my neighbors and little kids loved watching it being put together - it was amazing to see..........Despite Covid, I managed to move in 3 weeks before Christmas 2020. The process went wonderfully. Huge basement and plenty of storage. Needless-to-say I am very happy in my new house!!!!

Anyone familiar with the issues the construction industry faced from supply chain disruptions has to appreciate the ability to get us from the house drop to the C.O. in just under 12 weeks during the summer and early fall of 2021! Bob Howser and his team did a fantastic job, alongside a group of very talented subcontractors (some referred by CVH, others known by me personally), and got us into the house just in time for the scheduled furniture and appliance deliveries.

While CVH worked from a custom plan envisioned by me and drawn up by an architect I knew well, kudos to Jessica Kimble for suggesting the open plan that moved the living area to the more sunny rear of the house, leaving an open spaced "L" for the living room, dining room and kitchen that makes our little cottage seem so much larger!

This house surpasses what we dreamed of these past several years, thanks to CVH and the other team players!

We shopped quite a while for a builder before choosing CT Valley Homes. We spoke with homeowners and builders alike regarding time frames, coordination of services, and quality of materials used. We chose CT Valley Modular because of the soundness of the structure, the ease of finding the right style and floor plan, and the huge variety of exterior and interior materials and hardware.
We chose our home design in the fall and the following March the building showed up in four units. The units were mated up in a day, with sheet rock, most doors, all windows, and trim in place, along with our new quartz counters and solid beech cabinets. The raw exposed swaths where the units mated were later sheet rocked and are now invisible. Stairs to the attic and basement were also added and sheet rocked. The teams that worked on the various parts of the house dealt with COVID safety and inclement weather with smiles and laughs. The quality of the work was outstanding and clean. The final poly coat on the floor was dry when we arrived in June.
Scott Anderson from CTV Homes and Todd Reynolds of Jenn-Lee Excavation made the impossible happen. Scott helped us with design (good Lord the man is patient!) and placement. Todd, well, Todd gave us exactly what we asked for: a raised elevation to preserve our ocean view, a walk-in front door, and a walk out basement garage in the back, by building the most stunning boulder walls around the property. The walk-through attic is a huge bonus Scott helped us make.
Would I do this again? In a heartbeat. We love our new home, and we love the help we got from Amanda and Scott Anderson, Bob, Harry, Aaron, Jesse, Charlie, Brian, and the other people who made this wonderful retreat happen. Thank you all, and thank you CT Valley Homes!
