Named after the town, Cooper Landing Brewing Company offers a low-key, fishing themed, brewery experience. Just a 15-minute detour off the Seward Highway if you're headed to Seward, or conveniently along the route if you're headed to Homer.

Our top beer pick here is Ma's Rhubarb Crunch, a fruited pastry sour with rhubarb, lactose, and strawberry, aged on Madagascar vanilla and cinnamon. This beer delivers a delightful blend of tartness and sweetness, reminiscent of a homemade dessert. Even a couple of weeks later, the rhubarb flavor is still palpable when thinking about it.

On the brewery grounds, they have a weird and quirky piece of infrastructure. That weird spaceship looking thing is an emergency capsule, probably from some boat or a drilling operation. And yes, you can sit in it! The rest of the brewery exudes a fishing cabin vibe. The large outdoor space includes a small music stage for live bands, however we were not fortunate enough to visit during a show. We also enjoyed their logo, which humorously depicts a salmon drinking a beer.

Love stopping at this brewery everytime I’m in town. Great bear (just wish they’d have their dark beer option more often…), great atmosphere and seating, several fire pits outside, and the food that is served there is good too. Make sure you check out the schedule of events that happen there too with live music.

Wish I coulda tried the food but we came in kinda late on a Monday night. They have great beer - tried the seltzer (super good) and the sour. Yum! 🍻🍺

Cozy feel, good food, and good homemade beer/seltzer! This place feels and looks fairly new. Their drinks are homemade and they’re only allowed to serve you 36 ounces per Alaska state law. The food menu is light, but it’s quality food! My favorite is their rally burger. During peak times the wait for food can be pretty long as they make everything fresh. My family and I stop here every-time we head down to the Kenai. Time we’ll spent for a great little meal!

Delicious food!!! Super quick and tasty. Beer is great too. The burger is phenomenal. Highly recommend the fries and the pretzel sticks. 5/5 stars - you will be happy you stopped!

Excellent beer and good food. Beer side person was excellent. Food guy has real attitude issues. But very glad we stopped.
