County Road 65 (Leon Wiggins Road) is in desperate need to be resurfaced. The traffic volume has increased tremendously and the only attention this Road gets is patch work. Just how much patching does it take to get properly maintained. Tax dollars are going for something but obviously not to correct any issues. Road signs on this road are twisted from a storm about three years ago and also have not been addressed.

County road 65 (Leon Wiggins Rd.) is an absolute mess. We have watched this road decay over the years. The traffic on this road has more than doubled, & the only maintenance this road sees is patch work here, & there. Mainly along the edges as the road is narrow, & decaying. A portion of the road has sunk down about a half mile from US 84, & you must go very slow over it, as it’s a hazard. Meeting oncoming traffic is also dangerous, as you have to practically leave the road way to pass one another. As they continue to do there patching here, & there, they have gotten pretty bad with that. They are now just slinging the rock coated with wet tar over sections of the roadway, & apparently expect the traffic to pack it down. I don’t appreciate having to clean tar off the sides of my vehicle because of someone’s lack of care to do there job correct. Not to mention the chips in my paint. I phoned the county road department today, & got a man named Ron who sounded like I was a problem to disturb him. All he wanted to tell me was how they had 650 miles of roads to tend to, & that this road was not the list for re-surfacing. I guess the right people don’t live on this road, because if they did, it wouldn’t be in this condition, nor a safety risk for the motoring public that has to travel this road. Tax dollars at use!!!
