Seeing quite a few rough reviews on this place. We stayed there for two nights at the very end of August so pretty late in the season. |The good - the cabin was clean, fairly spacious, with a few nice touches like in-room coffee and a cooler outside with free ice in lieu of a fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful - bringing us extra pillows and coffee pods upon request. Plenty of hot water in a good shower. The restaurant was good and easy to get to. |The rest - yes the floor was slanted, enough to make you wanna be careful but not enough to make it a problem really. The staff was young and you might wonder who’s in charge but they all seemed ready to help, making sure that some of the issues I’ve seen mentioned were addressed (shampoo, off hours phone, golf cart were all made very clear upon check in). |As for value, yes it seems pricey compared to other cities in the lower 48 but looking around Denali it’s actually priced about right for what it is. |Solid 3 stars overall. Would stay again.

Don't get sucked in by the websites pictures, it's not that nice. The latest refurbishment to our two rooms was shoddy and unprofessionally done. The carpet is filthy and the hot water would scald a person if not careful. The floor to our room slanted down the hillside making one wonder about the foundation. On our last night we were kept awake from 11PM to 4AM from a staff assisted party 3 doors down from our rooms. The interesting looking restaurant on the property was closed. Signage for the property doesn't exist and the staff is poorly trained. I know we're not here for the hotel experience but, for the prices they charge you would expect something a little nicer.

This is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting Denali National Park. It has beautiful views of the mountains. Its restaurant, The Overlook, is quite good and reasonably priced. We visited shortly after the wildfire in the park had been contained, and so that may have affected the operation. Check-in was a bit chaotic (we arrived shortly after a small tour group) and our room was not ready until early evening. The staff was friendly and well-meaning, but seemed to lack any kind of direction from a manager. The cabins are very basic and skew towards the cheap (plastic wrapped cardboard coffee cups). But since the reason we were in the area was the park, it worked for us. Keep in mind that if you have mobility issues, the cabins at the top are not for you (about 100 steps on several sets of stairs from the front desk). You can't get your luggage to your room without someone driving you in a golf cart, which might also be an issue if many people are checking in at the same time.

Nice cozy little cabin in a great location, the restaurant is so good no need to go anyplace else! Highly recommended and the staff were also friendly and attentive!! Parking is below the cabins and you can either walk up or they will shuttle you(we enjoyed the brief, short walk).|They also run shuttles to local attractions but we had a rental car. Would definitely go again!

Super convenient place to stay when visiting Denali National Park. There are lots of shops and restaurants very close. The bed was very comfortable. These are individual cabins, and they are old. There is a new coat of paint outside but pretty shabby inside but clean. There is a TV, internet, a bathroom and hot water. There is a cooler and chairs out front of each cabin and they provide ice. Which for this area of Alaska is pretty good. We had our own car, but they also offered shuttle service. It's safe, and the team that works there is very attentive and pleasant. The view every morning was Amazing! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend for purposes of going to Denali.

Families, visitors of Denali, PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. We stayed at the Crows Nest in Denali and had an awful experience. Unprofessional business, all the way around.

Here are some reasons-
We booked a four person room for our stay. The pullout couch was a small double bed with unwashed, dirty sheets!! Front door could only be partially opened when the pullout was in use. This room was smaller than any motel we’ve ever stayed in.

Unprofessional service. The female General Manager whom I will not put her name here, along with every other employee our family interacted with showed zero customer service or want to make this establishment desirable. The General Manager was severely rude, and each other employee (besides the few restaurant employees who tried to troubleshoot while there was nobody at front desk to give us our key) were the most unaccommodating workers we’ve come across in our travels.

We tried to acquire our key and check in to the hotel at 2:30 pm. The receptionist said the room wasn’t ready yet and to return later. We had a tour in the park from 3 to 9:30 pm in the national park. When we returned to the hotel past 10 pm, there were no employees at the front desk, or anywhere we could find to give us our key to our room. This led us to an hour long slough of working with several restaurant workers to help us find someone with access to get our keys. Nowhere was it noted to us in our reservation that we need to check in before 10 pm. No call to us while on our adventure informing us we need to return before 10, absolutely nothing. And childishly, the hotel staff and management didn’t take accountability for their lack of communication and poor customer service.

For all these reasons, we left our Denali trip early. Upon telling them we were leaving after just one night of our two night stay, kindly sharing our issues we experienced and inquiring about if we could get our money back for the second night that they could easily resell during the busy summer months, they declined.

The Crows Nest in Denali is an unprofessional, poorly run, overpriced pimple on the side of the hill. We experienced zero positive leadership and an uninspired disorganized staff. If you want that dream Denali Vacation, I urge you to not stay here.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Our little cabin leaned to the right, so much so, that my wife's moisturiser jar slide of the side table. This also affected the bed, on a bit of a lean. Built high on the hillside and the staff advised depending on the winter conditions sometimes the cabins lean.....|Great water pressure in the shower. |No direct call to reception, used own mobile. Very warm during our visit.|The walk up the level five is step or you can take the stairs.

The place needs help! The rooms are very, very rustic & don’t come with a whole lot of pizazz for the money they charge. ||I think this is the fault of the owner. It appears he doesn’t live on property even though his house was there. I can tell you what made the stay here worthwhile was the manager Andres Chavez. When we arrived at the room the bed had a huge crater in the middle where you sleep. He came to look at it & said he knew about the issue but would fix it. Offered us another room, but the view on this room was spectacular. He dragged 2 mattresses up from other rooms only to find out it was a broken box spring. There is no easy way to get anything around this property without carrying it on your back or hauling it up the hill in a golf cart, but he had the staff working to make sure we were comfortable. We stayed right next to the hot tub, but missed out because it closed at 8pm, but he said he would get permission if we wanted to use it because we were waiting for our bed to be fixed. When we looked in the hot tub there was scum ? floating in it like the cleaning ppl hadn’t touched it in days. ||When we woke up the next morning, we had no hot water & Andre had given us his cell # for any other problems since at 10pm there is no front desk staff to help - they all get on a bus & leave, not one minute later. We called Andre about the hot water & he immediately jumped to fix the problem, we were traveling with friends so I used another one of our rooms to shower while they fixed that issue. (It took about 5 hours to fix the water issue). The next day my shower was fine but by the end the water was cold again. Each cabin level has its own water line so the whole 5 level had no hot water as we had friends staying in another room & they had the same issues. ||The TV didn’t work in 2 of the 4 rooms we rented. Andre was continually running between our rooms to make our stay better. ||Andre was like a personal concierge to us during our stay & had it not been for him we would have stayed somewhere else & I would have asked for a full refund. ||The owner of this property won’t even stay here, it needs updated more than he dares to do, but he’s charging 5 star prices. The couch in our room (507) was so bad I was afraid to set anything on it let alone me sitting on it. The bed was against the wall so for me to get out of bed, I had to crawl over my husband. Mind you we rented a suite for the higher price. ||There is no AC so they bring you fans but leaving the windows open brings mosquitos when it was in the 80’s. It was a bit chilly at night & the heater was a wall unit that brought very little heat. ||The other good thing about this place was the restaurant/bar. We had a cocktail with Cabe & what a personality! We loved him. Went out of his way to make me a drink I could love instead of like since I like only sweet girlie drinks. Alaskan Rockslide. ? ? ||Thanks to Andre & Cabe for being the best part of this stay. If you are the owner & reading this you need to take your offseason & make the needed upgrades to these rooms because for the $ you are charging they should not have these issues. I’ll be sure to stop & visit your good employees on our next trip if you are lucky enough to keep them around, but we will stay somewhere else. ||I am glad we got to know your manager, Andres, he did his very best with the tools you gave him, but his hands were tied on just how much he could do because of your lack of attention to your property. Do better at taking care of your employees & your property. ||I also want to mention Ivan, he was a student from Bulgaria. Very nice & always accommodating to rides loading & unloading luggage, getting ice, towels etc. ||Lots of good staff at least the ones that made themselves available to us, but that’s the best thing about this place.
