The uranium tasted delicious. One gram had 20,000,000,000 calories, Iโ€™ll never need to eat again!

Update, why are hospital bills so expensive?

Can we please build more of these?! 100% recyclable and clean, green nuclear energy.. What is going on with this mass-misinformation campaign funded by BIG OIL and GAS, about something called โ€œnuclear wasteโ€ฆโ€ itโ€™s freaking recyclable! Look how France does it! Get your face out of silly cartoons with green sludge. When will people wake up?

We should probably start the planning process on building units 4,5, and 6 since it will take 20 years from start to sync to grid. It would be a great idea to take the lessons learned from Vogtle and VC Summer on how not to go over budget and aviod making the whole process a $hit show.

... seriously, we're rating nuclear power stations now ๐Ÿ˜€ ? Well, I'd give it 5 stars for being clean and safe, and for the scenic beaches nearby. Unfortunately, I didn't see any radioactive Godzilla monsters and there was no glowing fish, so the tourist value isn't all that high, that reduces to 4 stars. I also deduct one star because they've obviously taken the company name from Star Trek: Deep Space 9, and that's my favorite series. (I know the company existed before that series, but that's besides the point.) I'd actually add one star back for the fact that nuclear power is the safest energy production mechanism we humans have at the moment, and another for the fact that this site is decommissioning the old reactors... but I really want to be the first to rate this three stars, so there you go. Eight stars, would write a useless review again if I were bored and passing by on an Amtrak train! ๐Ÿ™‚

A stunning location for a power plant. Situated on the scenic coast of southeast Connecticut within view of the Niantic boardwalk and Amtrak's Northeast Corridor line from New York to Boston, this workhorse nuclear powerhouse does what it's meant to do. It's silent witness to old whaling waters; Long Island is visible on clear days.

Seeing this power station from the boardwalk (where this photo was taken) inspires a drink at one of the beach bars.
