We recently had the opportunity to work with Doug Cota on a whole house remodel , and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Doug kept us informed at every step, providing clear timelines, detailed updates, and prompt responses to our questions. He had great suggestions along the way, many of which we went with.

Punctuality was another highlight of his work. Doug and his crew consistently arrived on time and maintained a reliable schedule, which made the entire process stress-free. He often made time to meet up with us when we were "in town" being this is our second home.

Doug and his crew picked up my project midway as it had been started by another contractor. They did an awesome job and the results are outstanding. What can I say about Doug Cota and his crew. When he asked if I would write a google review for him my first response was "No" because I did not want to share how awesome Doug and his crew were because that means it would become harder for me to obtain his services :0) That being said my dad was a general contractor so my standards of what I expect from a contractor may be higher than others and Doug arose to the standard. His communication was excellent always keeping us informed about where we were in the process, delays, challenges etc. which is what you want when your kitchen is being torn apart and put back together. Communication is a key part of any type of home construction because not knowing doesn't help the process. They were always punctual (if not early) and a great crew to be around. The sub-contractors were amazing as well. You can not go wrong by hiring Doug and his crew they will get the job done and do it right.

Doug Cota completed a full remodel on our restaurant, and it came out beautiful! He moved interior walls, added custom windows and doors where there were none, put in a patio, fencing, electrical, etc. We are so happy with the quality of the work. He is always quick to respond when we call him and has completed things on time. Would highly recommend!

We met Doug & Liz Cota in the fall of 2020 when we were advertising for a general contractor to build an architecturally designed & engineered addition to our small 1970’s off grid cabin in the woods. My wife and I are extremely grateful that the Cota’s offered to take on what we considered to be the very daunting task of converting a small three-room cabin, without plumbing, power, or heat, into a beautiful, fully code compliant, livable off grid lodge. Doug & Liz Cota’s attention to detail, work schedule, business ethics, and access to a full complement of very skilled subcontractors has made our once in a lifetime project a complete joy. The project was completed on time and without any complications. In more detail, the old cabin was completely taken down to the roof, wall studs and dirt subfloor, and then it was fully remolded inside and out. The new attached addition was built from scratch from the concrete foundation to the sheet metal roof. The cabin is solar powered with propane heat, a spring-fed fresh and instant-on hot water system, a completely redesigned and rebuilt septic system, and a fully finished interior with drywall, vinyl plank flooring, wood trim, a new code compliant wood stove, and a fully painted interior and exterior. Finally, and most importantly, we highly recommend that you consider Doug Cota Construction for any of your construction needs in Northern California.
