We have purchased bulk (1 cubic yard) red mulch multiple times now, even a year later the color has held well. A week ago we got a truck bed full of compost soil for our garden and it's absolutely wonderful!!

When you enter the driveway keep to the right as there is a private residence to the left. Once you've passed the driveway for the private residence there is a small shed/building to the immediate right, this is the sales office. Do not go to the large building at the top of the hill, that is not the sales office. Behind the sales office are different styles of pathway stones, edging, and pavers. Adjacent to the sales office is a row of different colored mulches and small gravel size stones, sands, and soils. Plenty of options to chose from no matter what you're looking to get done around the yard!

If you are wanting to load into your own truck/ trailer make sure to know if it is capable of holding the weight of whatever you're purchasing. They will happily load items into you're personal truck/ trailer, they'll ask you after purchase to pull up to the stall beside your purchase so they can line up the front loader with your truck bed/ trailer.

Convenience is the only time I use them for my bulk mulch/soil/stone etc. It's all decent material,no complaints quality wise. However, the pricing is absolutely insane, $48 for a yard of mulch is just absurd, even the lower quality (which is brown landscape mulch in most cases) is the same price ($48) as the higher quality black and red. If you have the time and means to do so, go to B&L in old Saybrook area. They have everything you need, and their regular landscape mulch is $18/yard, and then they have better quality brown, red, and black all under $30/ yard if I am not mistaken. Nothing against eagle, my 3 star isn't from anything negative with them, just the pricing kills the little guy like myself.

Great Experience dealing with Gales Ferry Horticultural Products. I sent an inquiry through their website and Bob called me the next day and actually came out to my house at 7:30 in the evening. He spent over 30 minutes with me trying to figure out the best way to fix the drainage and negative sloping under my deck. He also advised that I would probably only need 1 truckload of product instead of the 3 that we originally thought. The other guys were also very pleasant and helpful when I stopped by to order and on the delivery. Very satisfied and highly recommend them!

I live at the Lakeside condominiums in Ledyard Connecticut. Their company oftentimes forgets that we exist as one of their customers and then when they do finally come out they do a shoddy job. Since this year, their work has been terrible when it comes to landscaping. They don't clean any of the branches and dispose of them before mowing and they don't edge adequately. There are multiple units that look like they haven't even been touched. Overall subpar performance done by the landscaping company and the entire amount of tenants living here are all very upset that are condo association has contracted their landscape services with eagle.

Very friendly and helpful...made me very at ease purchasing topsoil to set a new sod lawn. Everything from beginning to end was perfect. Price was very reasonable (better than most), delivery was on time and professional. The topsoil was gorgeous, rich, dark, and clean.
