I had dealings today with the Tax office. I was so happy to be greeted by a very pleasant voice on the other end of the phone. Amanda was prompt, kind, and extremely helpful. I have been told by several people about their experiences with this office and I have had a few of my own that weren't so great in the past but not today! I'm happy to see that the office now employs some customer oriented individuals. What a wonderful IMPROVEMENT!! 5 Stars!

Connor Martin I am posting this on Google, hoping to get help from the mayor in East Hartford and the governor of Hartford. Ct because I don't understand how the inflation is affecting people so much when it comes to the taxes since I live in East Hartford 06118 , property taxes is going up every day for the last five years it's really hard to advocate for yourself when no one is advocating for you

Yesterday was my first time going to City Hall for a City Hall meeting. I sat in for at least a couple hours just to hear what they have to say. Hopefully attending these meetings will help me have a better idea where my tax money is going and why my taxes going out the way it is.

I’m not a fan when ppl leave early or don’t answer East Htfd residents calls on Fridays after 3pm.. I was there today (5/12/23) at the Permit/inspection office to drop off a letter for a hearing for either Joe Cortez or Mr. Cohen.. it was 3:30 pm and they close at 4:30 pm but neither man was in their offices.. hmmm..I wish I had a job where I could leave early but I work 7 days a week/ 80 hours a week..I never dip. The Mayors office didn’t answer either..they need to change the hours of operation to 2pm cuz ppl are negligent and don’t care about their Town Residents.

I'm an older person with health issues and sent my son to get the free COVID mask that the ST of CT and town said it’s free and he said they gave him 1 box and the lady looked annoyed. Well then governor Lamont choose another site where people are friendly and willing to give them out. This is annoying to me too if you have people upset giving them out. Obviously we are in need of them and the stores are over pricing the mask. Please have compassion for your elders and people that go there to pick them up, especially on these cold weather. God bless

The times I have been in there I dealt with employees who were helpful and knowledgeable. One time I needed a document notarized, and was successful for a small fee. Building is in convenient location. Facitity looks outdated, probably could use renovations, nothing serious. Shouldn't have a problem parking.
