Brea a switch board operator has a very nasty and rude demeanor for absolutely no reason. She sounds as if she absolutely hates her job. I was simply returning a missed call as I was listed as a contact person for a love one that was having surgery. Instead of gathering information and guiding me through the proper channel or telling me the number of the department I would need to call she chose to be of no help and extremely rude about it. She didn’t care & had zero empathy. Not her job not her problem. Not sure how such angry people are allowed to work within customer service or within the hospital. She didn’t allow me to speak or even explain why I was calling. Just i dont transfer calls, not my job, any missed calls automatically gives u this #, sir not my job. Very nasty tone. Please get a nicer person who actually likes what they do in her place instead

Highly highly confused I thought I was at Manchester hospital. However I see ECHN all over the place. I have been waiting on 2 blood transfusions since 8pm it's now next day 9am & I'm @ a level 5 on blood still no transfusion STILL. I've never had to wait this long for blood. I'm tired got no sleep techs are slow to help waited 25 min to be walked to the toilet in my room. Rooms are super hot can't control the temp. The ER bathrooms had vomit & pee all over the place walls toilet floor on toilet paper in sink. The nurse went with a towel to dry the floor no one cleaned the bathroom the whole night. Just really really nasty.

Too many incidences with care at this establishment. Recently a male employee took photos of my aunts Chart. He reported he wnated to know the origin of her name and ecided to take a photo of the chart which is mind boggling. There was another situation months ago where my aunt almost died of Anaphylaxsis and the nurses were so scraed they stood there and almost watched her die. Lucky myself and her daughter were walking in and asked for help. I am uncomfortable with the care of this hospital and I hope Yale stepping in will make some necessary changes. Rude staff, Inappropriate, unprofessional and overall just not a good place. I hope to see the GOOD staff shine through more because they are overshadowed by the negative

The medical care in the hospitals is horrible. In October I became incredibly ill. I had suspected my gallbladder was having issues. Over the course of 3 months I had gone to both Rockville and Manchester
at least 8 times or more I lost count. I was in HORRIBLE pain and throwing up constantly. No one did a CAT scan or an ultrasound and they ignored the family history of gallbladder issues. I kept getting sent home saying it was gastritis. And THANK GOD I don’t smoke marijuana because they tried passing it off as Hyperemesis (which literally just means severe nausea and vomiting) and said it’s caused by smoking pot. They did they to my sister with her gallbladder for months.

Not ONE single provider of the many times I was there had me breathe in and push on my gallbladder area. Not a single one. I finally landed in the ER in January for my last time at the peak of my pain. I begged them not to send me home. They found something on the ultrasound saying I had Biliary dyskinesia which is exactly what my sister had. They said I had no gallstones. Gave me morphine to give a picture of how much pain I was is barely did a thing. They FINALLY admitted me and I got emergency surgery. Turns out I DID have gallstones as well. My gallbladder could have exploded on me and left my child motherless. What they should have done was admitted me initially or at the very least the second visit and done all testing the possibly could and re-run tests as needed. For a patient to have to be in a Sharp state of mind to advocate for themselves when they are not in a state to do so is horrid. People go to the hospital to be in good hands and to be taken care of. This medical system is failing and need to do better. This not only happened to me but sister as well.

Brought my 80yr old husband to Manchester hospital emergency room to be examined as he was having sudden passing out episodes. Sat all afternoon in waiting room even after he had an episode there. I finally went back to desk to ask why room had filled up and emptied 2xs and we were still waiting. They took him in then briefly to check basic vitals. No heart meter but sent him home. He was back week later for an emergency for a pacemaker. His heart had stopped every time he was about to pass out! Emergency room dr showed it to me after they hooked him up on machine. Scary experience that the first visit no one could do a more complete exam.

Lab services takes my insurance card, then bill me through another insurance I haven’t had in years so I have to call to straighten that out with lab services but then I have to call billing too to get it resolved because their mistake is my issue that needs to be resolved been going on a month here with no resolve as the billing department isn’t contacting me though I have repeatedly left messages explaining the error, avoid ECHN like the plague

I went in with a fever…nurses suck especially Raymond everytime I would ask him something he’d have an attitude…he lastly came in and said I was being discharged:
1 without the dr. Coming in to read me my results
2 without them doing vitals to make sure my fever went down
3 I did let him know I still don’t feel well and my body still hurts like everywhere
4 I asked him to call the dr so that I can speak to on him he said no you’re being discharged…
5 I asked him to read back my results or to at least print them out he said no
6 I’m home right now with soooo much body aches and so I decided to check my own temperature and it came out worse than what I went in with I went in with 100.4 fever now I have this 101.6 fever like really?!? If they would’ve only taken my vitals before I left they wouldn’t have either let me go home or they would've did more tests as to why I have this damn fever…

We had an excellent experience here. My wife gave birth here last week and the experience was ten times better than what we went through at St Francis. The doctors and nurses listened and took her concerns seriously.
