I purchased the 6 ft. Elite Modern Victor glass top dining room table, manufactured by Elite Manufacturing. It was a stunningly beautiful work of art…UNTIL THE GLASS TOP SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED. My husband and I heard a very loud explosion. Hearing the explosion and seeing the aftermath was very unnerving. Fortunately, we were not near the table when the glass exploded. It took 4 hours to clean up all the glass to ensure that all the glass was off the floor, chairs, couch, plants, and other nearby objects.
I called Elite Manufacturing to let them know that the glass tabletop exploded into hundreds of pieces and damaged the wood base of the table. They refused to speak to me. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website shows another report of an Elite Modern Victor glass tabletop exploding in Florida in 2014.
The manager at the store where I purchased the table informed me that Elite Manufacturing offered to replace the glass tabletop. However, this 76-inch glass tabletop spontaneously exploded without any indication or warning that anything dangerous was ever going to occur. If people or pets had been near this table when the glass top exploded, the falling and flying pieces of glass could have caused bodily injury or blindness. If people, particularly young children, had been sitting at this table when the glass spontaneously exploded, it could have caused great bodily harm by the hundreds of pieces of falling glass, as well as the force of the flying pieces of glass, which flew approximately 10 feet in all directions. The exploding glass destroyed the tabletop, as well as damaged the wood base. My husband and I would not feel safe with another glass top table. Even if we did, Elite did not offer to replace the damaged wood base, only the glass top. Therefore, we believe Elite Manufacturing should reimburse us the amount we paid for their Elite Victor table.

Worst customer service! I feel bad for the dealers that carry their product line as they can't help much except connect you to their rep. And this representative, Kirsch Harris doesn't take you serious and acts like you're a nuisance. They ask you for photos and videos of the problem and after submitting the requested info of the defect they don't get back to you hoping you'll forget about it. Do yourself a favor and find a different company to work with.

this is the worst company you can possibly deal with. no response to warranty work for 8 months. think after purchase service before you buy anything from them
