The lunch sandwiches are amazing. It’s fantastic that all products in the store are locally sourced from small businesses. We have also utilized Matt and his team for catering, and had a wonderful experience.

Just came in for the first time. Really clean and the meat all looked really good. Bought a very nice looking thick cut ribeye and some bacon. I believe he said the bacon was processed in Meriden. It looks really good as well. Prices were very fair for the product sold. Bacon was about grocery store prices but way better quality, same with the steak. Very nice and polite and not too far off the highway, well worth the trip from Topeka. They also had some Alma creamery cheese curds and some other regional products.

Update:
we grilled the steak last night over charcoal on my weber. Pulled it off at 125° and let it rest. Was perfectly med rare and one of the most tender steaks I have had in a while. Very delicious.

This was our first time visiting the Elm Creek Beef Local Market in Hoyt, Kansas off 75 Highway. It was apparent their guests were important to them, as they greeted their regulars by name. We enjoyed the Steak Burger special with a side of macaroni salad and bottled soda. The food was delicious and made fresh. They bake their breads... Oh my, so good!!! The restaurant, store, parking lot, food coolers, and bathrooms were all clean. The owner and staff were very friendly and took the time to tell us about their Kansas-sourced products including their beef and bread, honey from T Creek Bees & Honey in Berryton, homemade ice cream from The Sweet Tee in Topeka, and bottled soda from KC. They also had locally sourced pork, smoked cheese, chips, cookies, dog treats, and more. This was a great find as we were passing through on our way to an appointment. Thanks for the hospitality. We will be back.

Much smaller storefront than anticipated.
Went on day they advertised a burger special on FB and was a bit disappointed on wait and taste.
Drive a bit further to Denison bar or Holton.. worth it.

I've bought my prime rib roasts from here for the last few years, and they have all been simply wonderful. We are planning on purchasing 1/2 beef soon, and we know EXACTLY where we are getting it from!!
