Very kind people. Everyone’s intentions are well and good. However, the state of the fruit and vegetable is not the best. One wouldn’t expect the best in the pantry. But there is no reason for the food to be near rotting or expiring the very next day. The food that we got developed mold the very next day, especially on the bread.

They're very friendly and helpful over there and they don't give anyone a hard time and I think it's wonderful that you can go every week if you need to

If you don’t want to be appreciated for your community service and talked down to by the purple nose old man this is the place to be! You can expect rotten vegetables sitting at room temperature for hours on the floors in boxes, no sanitation with any food handling, no direction when attempting to volunteer and allot of careless attitude from both the seniors running the place! Absolute worst treatment for a facility of which people volunteer, place needs some oversight, some department of health visits, and a serious attitude change!

I understand the food from here isn't fresh or has weeks before the expiration date but the food they give needs to be eaten that day. Food goes moldy the next day especially breads. Found fruit flies in baked goods and rotten produce on their shelves. I bring a friend and am not a "customer" but there should be standards about food that is given out. Safety should be number 1. Botulism is real people.

I don't understand why they hardly have any food put out you see it piled to the ceilings but there's never anything on the shelves lately. For example there's peanut butter piled to the ceiling but they haven't given out peanut butter in like 2 months if not longer! What's up with that? Maybe they're waiting for it to expire
