This morning 7/17/24 I was going to my daughter’s. She lives off the road on about quarter mile or so driveway in a rural area with the only access to her house. Two Ervin Cable Construction trucks were parked blocking the drive. The men were up on poles running cable about a quarter mile across a pond and in another neighborhood. I called out to them that I needed to get thru to get back to my daughter’s house. They yelled back that someone was coming. I waited another 15 minutes or so. The young man that they sent after a couple of times calling out had no authority so I was feeling bad for getting on to him but as he was moving the trucks I stopped to apologize that he had to face the problem that the supervisor shouldn’t had caused. He was on the phone with his supervisor expressing I was upset. The supervisor was on speaker telling the younger one that if I had a problem I needed to come over and tell it to him. I spoke up and told him I was right here and I would like his name and number. He said he wouldn’t give out his personal information and that’s fine so I asked his name and the company number. He refused to give me either and said it didn’t matter because it wouldn’t effect his job, probably because it was his company and contract. I expressed with great frustration that if my daughter and grandchildren would have had an emergency there would be no way an emergency vehicle could have gotten past. He continued to say “well they shouldn’t be back there by themselves”. This is their driveway and only way in and out of their property. I did hear that his name is Ben. I believe his last name is Owens. I would like a response and to know that the company’s men realize how dangerous it is to block drives and I’m sure illegal. Especially in rural areas. I am going to also reach out to Kenergy to see if they have a contract with this company to run cable for the new Internet. I also got pictures of the trucks, license plates and truck numbers and a recording with his statement about my daughter shouldn’t be back on their property and house alone. I would be happy to share with who ever it concerns. So if I do have Ben’s last name wrong I’m sure there are records on who had what truck out on this day. Thank you for a quick response in advance.

I worked as a crew supervisor for three months at the Cape Girardeau, MO location. As I am typing this, the Cape Girardeau office is still open. I doubt it will last the remainder of this year the direction the office is going. The office has difficulties equipping and training employees. Structure in the office is non-existent and most worried about titles and pay raises rather than work or due dates. (Not a single due date was ever met.) Backstabbing other employees to get ahead is rampant. On one occasion, I accidentally tracked a small amount of dirt into the office. I was singled out and I offered to clean it but was instead berated for it in front of the office. A manager who worked in the office was deleting a crew supervisor’s work on Ervin’s blueprint manager. This caused the crew supervisor to be fired. Scare tactics every morning from management. We had emergency meetings and were then tasked with aerial work that we were not trained to do. One evening I returned to the office and I found several employees in the conference room watching Samsara dashcam event clips of current and former employees for entertainment purposes. Despite all of this, I had the pleasure of working with a few capable people that went out of their way to train the crew supervisors while management were hanging their heads, drinking coffee, throwing pity parties and making everything worse. Avoid this sinking ship at all costs.

I'm not an employee. You guys came in my yard to run your cable and that was fine. You cut a bunch of tree limbs. My problem? You hid them behind my bldg and left. I'm 70 years old and it took me almost 3 days to clean up your mess. I'll be hauling it off tomorrow. Maybe 2 loads. Your company will be getting a call and a bill. The guys who worked behind my house were, and I'm sure still are, dumber than a sack of rocks.
