I don’t knew where else to lash out, but they lied to me 3 times - one by the officer, one on the phone and one to my face. I got a ticket for an expired tag and the officer told me if I immediately updated it, it would be ripped up. I then called the court asking how to give them my updated tag, and they said to come in. I came in, then they said I had to come back in a few months on my court date. Showed up to the court date, they didn’t accept my paperwork, then charged me $180 and a guilty verdict. I’m beyond angry. Not even too upset about the small fine, just the total lies and the fact I can’t do anything about it.

Went to the courthouse to register a vehicle and the lady that helped us charged us an additional $18. The receipt showed $67.53 and she charged us $85.53. What is with that? Since we paid cash, no way to prove it. Be careful going there and paying with cash!!!!

Horrible judge nabors after hearing my
Plea took the side of the state trooper and DA. He didnt care that the state trooper Gilbert was rude and unprofessional with me when I got pulled over. Enjoy my erroneous payment as it funds your jobs and you don’t even care about the average citizens plea.

All citizens arguing their tickets asking for grace received guilty determinations. The DA does this job for her career and knew what questions to ask the state trooper to make me look uneducated. If you are going to fight your ticket, have scientific evidence, specific information pertaining to the Doppler Trooper Gilbert uses, and answers pertaining to velocity and cite specific similar laws to your case to try to fight it. I’ve never seen a more corrupt courthouse. Judge Nabors claims 2 miles over the limit is wrong. What happens when a car is driving down the road and accidentally goes over 3 miles, are we supposed to constantly look at our odometer ? That seems like a hazard to me and almost equates to looking at our phones while driving instead of focusing on the road. Judge Nabors also doesn’t like when you argue back or question him even though he works for the public and is an elected official to represent the public and hear our “uneducated” arguments as I overheard an etowah county attorney say. Classy right?

Got there at 4:40, left something in car that I needed for the tag, went to get it and they had the doors locked at 4:50. Says they close at 5 but that's a lie. So now I'm forced to wait the whole weekend and risk getting pulled over and getting a ticket while working delivery for my job just because they locked the doors early.

They got nasty rude attitudes ! I called for information they act like you asked them to carry the world on they back . If they are too old to be there they need to retire . It takes less than a min to look up information and if that’s too much don’t bother going to work . It was one lady trying to help in personnel but the district attorney assistant is rude and act like she tired of working .
