I was referred by Kevin at All Standard Transmission in Campbell. He rebuilt my NP 435 transmission and NP 205 transfer case I needed to convert my 1970 Ford F250 highboy to a manual transmission and he recommended FFR. Greg was my liaison throughout the process and was completely professional about the entire process. Changing an automatic to a manual is not an easy job and there are so many challenges that can pop up especially when dealing with a vehicle over 50 years old. Greg was in constant contact with me on a weekly basis with progress reports and items that were in need of replacement. Some items I chose to have them repair or replace and some items I declined. But everything they recommended was in need of repair. They were on the expensive side but if you are someone who wants it done right it was definitely worth the cost to have it done properly. I am a believer in do it right the first time. They replaced the transmission and upgraded my power steering system to one that can handle the beating of a 1970 F250. They also changed out my leaking Holley 4 barrel to a new one that will no longer be a fire hazard. I would highly recommend FFR. Their entire team is top notch I loved the daily updates on the vehicle with photos Plan your remodel early. They are really sought after.

PLEASE READ
AVOID AT SLL COST***
FFR FABRICATION DID ME WRONG.
I spent over 100k with FFR fabrication and was left with a broken down car and rims I can’t use and a broken stereo .
*You read it correctly over 100k to get my dream car and I never once had the moment to drive away happy.

*Greg the foreman is a great sales man annd con artist. He upholstery amazing customer service but it comes with a big price tag.

You you read right! 100k plus at FFR. Hard earned money that took me years to make and FFR treats their customers like total trash if you stand up or speak up to them.
I’ll make a long story longer. I contracted Greg and ffr on my 1961 Impala. Greg recommended 7k wheels never used. I send him photos of the rims and color I wanted he messed up the paint and charged me for it 3k.
I got into a legal dispute with ffr and the company they hired to do my stereo. They hired wardells audio and interior who completely destroyed my car. Yes after all that money and time and my car almost being in the shop for over a year they blew it . They contracted the interior upholstery shop to do my stereo. Seriously an upholstery shop to work in my 150k collectors item car First red flag. I ended up going into legal action and had my lawyer fighting back and forth with wardells.
I had to basically pay twice to get my stereo done without any compensation from ffr. They didn’t take responsibility and got upset with me when I called them out on the problems.
I spoke to Greg and he was sending me dirty rude emails telling me to come pick up my car and rims or he’s going to leave it on the streets. He told me I burned the bridge for my car and ffr all because I was pissed off I had to pay to get my stereo done twice.

Get this. I picked up my car and drive it over the hill to Santa Cruz and the car wasn’t even hitting 35 miles per hour . Greg told me I was wrong . I begged him to come look at my car. Two days later he drives down to Santa Cruz to my shop , sticks his hand in the engine and finds a massive wrench stuck in my engine . His reply “someone’s gonna get fired “ he send me on the freeway with a wrench in my car pushing on the throttle . This place is insane . They are a total rip off and scammed me out of thousands of dollars. This is how they treat their top customers ? Seriously my life savings this shop. I could have put a down payment on a house and am stuck with a car that can’t even get out of the garage because the air ride is broken. I finally got it back from the second time I paid for the audio. Mind you in 30k in the audio set up now because of ffrs mistake or contracting horrible companies to work on my car. It gets two blocks from my house and completely breaks down. I’m very disappointed on how ffr and the owners and upper management have treated a loyal customer like me . What is my fault I’ve never complained about price or questioned anything, but the quality of the work was undeniably a bad and huge mistake on their part.
I’m shocked this is how they treated me after years of working with them.
Trust me if you’re a hard working class person. Think twice, they will take you for everything you got !! And I’m left with a 61 Impala that is in my garage broke down. Looks pretty but was a nightmare . I have tons of receipts as well that ffr and wardells tried to silence me to speak out and even threatened to sue me if I wrote any bad reviews. Ffr Greg and ownership you know what you did and you treated me horribly!
Dont spend your hard earned money with this company. Thy he will rip you off and take your for every dime you have. Greg is a good talker and pretends to be such a nice guy with his nerdy glasses but the fact is they are running a sloppy operation and are not caring for the customers . The customer should leave happy if you’re spending 10k or 100k. They are not a company for the working class person in my opinion. it’s taken me 2 years to get out of debt with FFR. They scammed me and emptied my bank account .

FFR was great! I came to them with particular and custom requests for my vehicle and they were totally up to the challenge. They were communicative, organized, and responsive. It was easy to work with them around my own work schedule. They also worked relatively quickly. In the end the quality of their work itself, was excellent and I am highly satisfied. I would go to them again, even for routine body shop work.

FFR is hands down one of the best auto/fab shops I have ever been to. I had a problem with my Mercedes that other shops were unable to fix. I had been to 3 other shops before I went to FFR to solve my issues with the car. The other shops could not figure out what to do and proposed half-baked solutions. It was only FFR that gave me an actual plan of how they would fix my car. I have never seen such detailed and thoughtful shop notes. My invoice included pages and pages of pictures and notes detailing the progression of their work on my car. I'll be honest with you, they are not the cheapest game in town, but they might be the best. If you want the job done right, I would not hesitate to give Greg at FFR a call and tell him what you are trying to do. I don't think there's much these guys can't do. If you can think it, they can likely do it. Definitely will be back with my next project.

I rebuilt my 1956 Thunderbird in 1987 and put 80K miles on it so it was time to get a lot of mechanical items fixed. I took it to FFR Fabraction & Repair for the work to be done. After a month in the shop I got the car back running and riding like it did back in 1987. The suspension is tight, Breaks work super, and engine performs great. Greg is so friendly and super helpful. I would recommend FFR to anyone with a Classic.

We had a leaking steel (aftermarket) gas tank in our Tacoma. Called FFR over the Christmas and New Year holiday. We removed the tank and I found FFR on a google search. I think I spoke to Greg, but they got us in, and in one afternoon welded our tank and got the tank back to us. Excellent service! Excellent repair! No leaking gas now, and the price was very reasonable. Thank you FFR! And thanks for the shop tour!
