Exemplary service! After three years of meticulous research and considering multiple options, I finally chose to go with FilmFix to digitize my 32 family films recorded on Super 8 film over 40 to 55 years ago. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I had high expectations for the 2k scanning, color correction and image stabilization… and they were exceeded! Some of the films were badly deteriorated, but Nathaniel and Laura were able to restore them to almost as good as new. I would wholeheartedly recommend FilmFix to anyone seeking top-tier digitization of Super 8 films at a very reasonable price.

A month before Christmas ’23, I was clearing stuff out of my basement and I came across over 2 dozen tapes (VHS, Mini DV, and others). I had planned for years to get them digitized, but never got around to it. The content on them was priceless.. my daughter’s birth, children’s birthdays, grandparents, brothers, sisters, all from 25 to 35 years ago. But when I looked at the tapes I realized that they were covered in mold and breaking down. I panicked. I sincerely thought those memories were lost forever. I checked with several of the large companies that advertise on social media and TV, and they all said that the tapes were no good. Then I found these guys at FimFix. They told me to send them the tapes and they would see what they could do. The husband-wife team really gave me first class service. Unbelievable service to be honest. The tapes were meticulously dismantled where necessary and cleaned until they were safe to put through their conversion devices. By the time that they were through they had recovered 1,591 minutes of precious recordings. Almost nothing was lost!

If you really care about your recordings, and you want ALL of content from those tapes, FilmFix has got to be the best place to go. Oh, and the quality of the digital version of the recordings was absolutely amazing. Yes, they’re a bit more expensive, but if your recordings have priceless content, don’t use anyone else!

I just wanted to let you know I spent hours this evening looking through the hundreds of slide scans that you did from my Kodachromes, and all I can say is "Awesome!" Actually I could say much more (I'm never at a loss for words, especially descriptors of what I consider the excellence of the art form that you practice together in your craft), but suffice it to say, I'm moved to tears looking at these absolutely magnificent slide scans. Even though the connection I have with the images is so deep that my brain and heart conjure up the feeling of the tropical heat, the aromas, the emotions and everything else connected with making a particular image in a moment of time in a world apart from where we are now, I'm moved once again at the deepest levels of my consciousness as I see details drawn out of the shadows and highlights by Nathaniel's artistry and technique in ways that I could never do (nor do I think anyone else could do, especially with Kodachrome.) They are so true to the original slides in rendering perfectly what I saw and captured on film so long ago around the world. And throughout the process, it was clearly evident that you invested your hearts into your work on my images. A heartfelt "Thank you," again! I am forever indebted to you for your contribution to my legacy project of the coffee table book in which they will be so beautifully printed.
