Life experience living in small towns has taught me there is typically a local butcher from which to buy fresh beef, pork and sometimes chicken. So after my recent move to the beautiful mountain town of Rainsville my search for a local butcher didn't take long! When I found Gary's and read the reviews it wasn't long before I went to check them out. I spent a total of $97 and walked away with more than I could've imagined. I bought: 2 Chuck Eye Steaks, 2 Filet Mignons, 2 2-lb pks 80/20, 2 1-lb pks fresh hot pork sausage, Pork neck bones, 2 Dozen Fresh Jumbo Eggs, 1 lb Hoop Cheese and 1 Pkg Pork Egg-rolls. (I forgot the fresh butter ?) I haven't cooked all of this by any means but I can tell you the quality cut of the steaks is far beyond anything you will buy in a big box store. The sausage is amazing and the eggs are great! They are located in a small building on Brown's Chapel Road, not far off the beaten path. You will be greeted with a smile and any assistance you may need! So do yourself a favor and stop in to see these folks! Not only will you walk away with good quality food, you'll walk away feeling good about your purchase.

I'm related to Nancy and Gary but I can truly say gary really works hard to put a quality product out for his customers the meat is fresh and they can't keep it stocked that's how quick it sells out. Their prices are better than anywhere the ground beef you have to add oil to it because there is no fat. The pork is tender. You can't go wrong. It's worth the drive

After getting sick from eating meat from a chain store in the past, I am very cautious about buying meat from just anywhere, and I get very concerned about making any changes in my buying habits. With the recent price hikes in meat prices, I felt it had came time to look for a more reasonable option. I can gladly say I am so glad I founds Gary's Custom Retail Meats. I purchased a good selection of meats, and we have not been disappointed. The hamburger meat is awesome, taste like it doesn't even have any fillers, almost like ground steak! Gary and his wife offer a nice clean store, along with an excellent variety of meat options, and at a lower price than most local stores. The trip to Rainsville is well worth the quality and the price savings. I do not think you will be disappointed! 5+⭐

Excellent beef and pork. The most tender Filet I've ever had! The ground beef was the tastiest and didn't require any additional seasoning. Pork chops were AMAZING! Owners are lovely and the animals are on premises. It doesn't get any fresher than this! I will be doing all of my beef and pork shopping for my family here at Gary's. So grateful for honest, locally owned business like this! THANK YOU!

my wife and I are in flat rock we decided to check out Gary's today. The service there is great ! We picked up some filet mignon for the grill tonight,they were fantastic ! we picked up other stakes as well as bacon,sausage,and some beets. Based on the quality of the filet's we had tonight Gary's will be are butcher from now on. Thanks for being there Bill&Pam
