We called Green Spaces and were so impressed with them on their initial visit that we hired them on the spot. The painting of ceiling, walls, doors, trim and cabinets painted is absolutely gorgeous as well as our kitchen backsplash. Lance is nice, professional and his “Team Ginger” did an overall awesome job. After their initial visit Lance had one of his team members come to our home with a Sherwin Williams color book and helped us in making recommendation. We then went and got samples of the colors to make our final choices. Ginger did a meticulous job painting our kitchen and bath cabinets. She is highly profession and fun too! Lance came out to our home to help install our kitchen counter prior to another vendor measuring them. Ginger and Bruce cut the wood down per guidance of the template maker (Alabama Kitchen Bath). They also removed and installed the plumbing items. Bruce did a fabulous job on our vinyl flooring. And, Ginger, an exceptional job on our kitchen backsplash.

Several things we did ahead of time and during: we removed the fiberglass shower (quite a job for 2 seniors!), removed carpeting & pads, helped clean up at the end of the day. Finally, we like to furnish lunch for those working on our home.

We had contracted with Green Spaces to also install a shower . While the hardboard was installed well and red painted (for moisture protection), we chose tile for the walls and floor. We could see early on that this was a project beyond Ginger & Bruce’s scope & skills, and wish Lance had come by early on in this project. By the way be prepared to not only purchase tiles and plumbing fixtures but also grout & shluter pieces. Our home project for this part began in early July and as of 9 Aug, I still cannot use my shower. Lance came out one Friday a couple of weeks ago and said he would bring in a subcontractor (which he probably should have done the week they began the project) and he said it would be done the following Wednesday. The weekend after that Wednesday Lance sent a text that he would have a subcontractor at our home the coming Monday. We waited all day and no subcontractor (turns out he got lost) 2 things we wish Green Spaces would have done: Given the contractor our number or have had him contact the GS office personnel and have either of them contact us. Perhaps another point is that Lance should have told us the name & company of the subcontractor when we asked so we could look up reviews on him and/or made sure both of them were here at the same time so we could discuss the project & assess if he was the right guy! We did have another business come in who informed us that some procedures were not done correctly thus we have uneven tiles on the walls, and missing & sharp pieces on the floor. Thus, after weeks, the shower still is unusable and it looks like we have to pay Green Spaces for their part in the shower job as well as another vendor to tear up at least the floor (too expensive to do walls & the floor) & redo it for us.

Highlights of Green Spaces: Professional and nice, they use high quality paints and DO NOT THIN paints as some painters do! Hire them for painting, flooring installation, and backsplash. “Team Ginger” is the one to have you do your home painting and backsplash. Lance means very well and yet today there is a challenge for contractors to find good, talented, and reliable personnel. We wish Lance the best in growing his business with the right capabilities, talents, and capabilities so he can expand his business further.

Green Spaces finished our interior paint job today, and we couldn’t be more pleased. From start to finish we had a very pleasant experience. Lance, the owner, was extremely friendly and professional. He made sure he knew what we needed and was able to quickly schedule us in for both the estimate and job. The price was fair and their availability beat the other quote we received by a month. He was always responsive, often answering texts and emails in the evenings and on weekends, and checked in on the project along the way. Our team lead was Steven and he was great as well. The team did a thorough job painting the house and had excellent attention to detail. As someone who attempted a DIY paint job during quarantine last year I can appreciate the value of hiring a pro after seeing their work. I would highly recommend Green Spaces for any of your home improvement needs.

Showed up when many other contractors wouldn’t. Repaired an upstairs leak, tore out the carpet and installed new flooring in the room that was damaged from the leak, and repaired the drywall of the garage ceiling that was also damaged.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Lance Fletcher owns this company. He has great face to face manipulative boastful charm, but he runs circles of lies around you to gain trust. He came to give an estimate, which was the 4th I had gotten that week. Originally, it was for painting the exterior of our home. It morphed into trimming a dangerous tree. When he quoted me $2500.00, I gasped and told him no thanks. That was the highest of the 4 quotes that week. He said he could bundle the work if I had more landscaping issues. So we went through the yard, and 6 trees, 3 stumps, and 1 tree trim later, we arrived at a reasonable quote. Oddly, he wanted 60% deposit. I didn't recognize that red flag, I was too thrilled with the prospects of finally getting things done. Oddly, that 60% was somehow right at $2500+. The original amount he seemed to need, in retrospect. He wanted CASHAPP or ZELLE. Those are payment platforms that require you to trust who you're sending funds to. Another red flag was ignored. We gave him the deposit, and he ghosted us. Our scheduled contracted work days came and went. He only responded when I emailed him and demanded a refund. Then he wanted us to wait a week. We did. That passed, too. Then I contacted the BBB, and he asked for another 2 weeks because another customer was going to pay him. He's robbing Peter to pay Paul. He has no working capital. That 2 weeks has also passed. He is a FRAUD and a liar. BEWARE of this so-called business.

Green Spaces Home Improvement did a wonderful job painting my whole house. They paid attention to every detail making sure the work was done properly. The guys are hard workers and we are so pleased with our newly painted home. It feels like a brand new house.

We are new to Huntsville and bought our house without ever seeing it. We were unhappy with the paint colors within the house and wanted something done quickly before all of our belongings arrived from out of state.
A quick Google search brought me to Green Spaces and I took a chance on the company solely on their website layout and description. Lance came out to the house the very afternoon I called and gave us a great quote. He was actually able to get a team together to begin painting immediately!
The team arrived on time and were very professional. They were courteous and thorough. I love the colors in my home now!!!
Lance also informed me the company could take care of my lawn. I had called three separate companies to mow the yard and the one company that said they could mow, never showed up! But Lance and his team made sure the yard was taken care of. They have mowed twice now and the yard looks great!

We've been using Green Spaces for over 1yr & I definitely would recommend them. We were hesitant to hire any landscaper's or yard workers because we assumed they would just be too expensive, but their prices are great. They are prompt, quick & thorough too. They cut & edge our front & backyard & clean up after every 2wks when needed. Lance is a great guy & never has disappointed us. Very happy with each job.

RUN AWAY!!! This company is a SCAM!!! The owner, Lance Fletcher lies & misrepresents himself as a general contractor. He is NOT!!! He does NOT have his homebuilders license or the available crew of workers he boasts about. I entered into contract with this man & his company under the assumption that he could pull permits since it was clearly listed in our contract... that was the 1st of many lies he told. The job got "red tagged" because he couldn't pull the proper permits. I asked for funds back, but he assured me he could get the job done.

I found out that he ended up paying a real general contractor to pull the permits. He then tried to pass those additional expenses on to me, but I reminded him that was his responsibility. I also later found out he couldn't return funds because he had already spent my money & the company is running on 0!!! How can a business operate like this? During this project, his foreman & several other employees quit. He literally told me that he was "robbing Peter to pay Paul". When I refused to be Peter, he completely stopped work on the house after already being more than 2 months behind on completing the job. This was supposed to be a 60 day project. I finally fired this company after over 4 months with very little progress to show. The owner has repeatedly ignored my calls & refuses to refund any of my money for work that was never done.

I have reported this company to the state board so hopefully they will not be around much longer to continue to scam paying customers.
