Excellent cross country trails that are well maintained. I saw zero brake bumps. Hot and eMTB recommended to make the up and down cross country more fun. Hikers don't get much past the river but there are horses way out there. 20 miles easy on an eMTB.

Great place to take the dog for a hike (on leash). Lots of trails of varying lengths to choose from. Nice place to enjoy the natural beauty of the California foothills. You will need to buy a ticket if you plan to come on a weekend, holiday or peak day.

Beautiful trail going down to the falls. The trail is pretty steep and can be difficult if you’re out of shape or don’t like big inclines. The views don’t get much scenic till your past about a mile and a half. Otherwise it’s a bunch of forest. You don’t get to see too much of a river or stream during the summer months either. We saw a rattlesnake while coming up right in the middle of the path so that was very exciting. Take lots of water and snacks for sure because there’s not much till you come back up.

Great county park with a variety of trails for walking, mountain biking, and on horseback. Dogs must be kept on a leash Local views in a small drainage with scenic waterfalls and pools. Be prepared for crowds and an online reservation system on weekends.

The best park.Canyon with river. Lots of excellent well marked hiking trails. Good for kids. Bring one gaon of water per person hiking. 700 foot drop down to river from parking lot. Therefore 700 foot climb back up to parking lot. Beware extreme heat in summer. Hat sunscreen water. Dogs will overheat in summer. Be careful. Beautiful in December. Nice and cool. Foothills of the Sierra. This is a gem.

Nice walking and hiking options. Best in the spring for green grasses and wildflowers. Parking permits are required on weekends and holidays and must be pre purchased online. Limited picnic area. Oak, poppies, wild grasses, waterfall a ways in. Good views.
