Hobbs is the biggest crook in the entire state of Arkansas !!! I made the mistake of renting from this horrible slum landlord and it was the biggest mistake of my life !!! Move in special Ha ha because once he gets you to move in he is going to take advantage of you in every way that he can. Starting with lying and saying the water is paid.. The truth is you share a meter on one property with 3 other tenants and if you ask him for a meter reading he will bully you by telling you he used to be a cop and then threaten you with eviction.. Great guy huh ? I knew if I didn't stay my full lease that this crook would go after me for even more money because he is a money grubbing crook. So I stayed my full lease while he rented to some of the worst people you could imagine and filled this place up with trash. Not unlike . I finally found a place after my lease but it was the middle of the month.. I still decided to give a small notice because it seemed like the right thing to do.. And even though there is NOTHING in the lease about a full notice after staying a full lease the freaking crook still took my complete deposit and i"m betting will have the nerve to think that I owe him even more money !!! He can kiss my ass .. It will be a cold day in hell before that crook ever gets another penny from me. And if he puts so much as a dime on my credit report I will sue the jackass in court.. Beware if you let this piece of crap build you a house or rent from him you are supporting a HUMONGOUS crook. Buyer Beware Hobbs is a lying thief...

Slum landlords, for sure. The only good thing i can say about this company is that they had an amazing receptionist working for them. The owners themselves care nothing for the safety of their tenants. Issues with faulty light fixtures, rotten floorboards, broken doors, rodents and black mold throughout the tenancy. Our washing machine was louder than the train in the backyard and the bathroom floors were so rotten, they progressively sank around the toilet. One time, we blew 4 bulbs in a day and called to ask if someone could come and look at the wiring in the fixture, someone came and put a new bulb in and told us that if we called for minor issues again, we’d be charged. Oh, that new bulb also blew the following morning. Never again.

Hobbs construction is who you want to build your home because its built the right way the first time. We are beyond thankful.

After speaking to the lady answering the phones at the Hobbs Construction office about getting some paperwork to fill out with them, she told me she'd leave it outside of the office and I could come pick it up later after the office closed. I was assured it would be outside the office when I got there to pick it up. I don't drive but I had someone take me to pick the paperwork up that evening. When I got there, after driving one hour to get the paperwork, I was upset because she hadn't left it anywhere and I searched everywhere and even thought maybe she had meant somewhere else. So I drove back home quite angry at the lady. In fact, she had been somewhat rude during our conversation from the beginning and seemed like each question I had for her was like I bothered her more and more. She made me feel like I had no business even contacting her at all! So when I began my drive back to where I came from that night, without the paperwork I absolutely needed to have in order to get what I needed to them, I had no choice but just to forget the reason I even contacted them in the first place. I don't recall her name but if you call Hobbs, she is the receptionist answering their phone lines. I give this business 1 star... Because it isn't anyone else's fault there if they begin losing customers or other business...IT IS HERS! Needless to say, I did call the following day to find out if it might have been a mistake on my part about the paperwork. I knew the day before when I called it was around the end of the day but when I asked her about what happened the next day, she stated, " oh, I had a family emergency and I am sooooo sorry, I forgot to leave it outside for you!". Really!!!!! You are joking right. I mean, like I just said, it was more than likely time to clock out at around 4:30 the day before! So unless she got a call as soon as we hung up, which I really doubt it because it would've been almost immediately after, there is no way she could've gotten an emergency call between the time she spoke to me and in fact even mentioned she had the paperwork ready to put out for me at that time. All she had to do was place it in the spot where she told me and go!
One star!! Unprofessional! Get rid of your secretary and I'll come answer the phone lines for the company and make you some money instead of losing money with each caller okay!?!?! If you see this. Trust me, I'd love to have her job and I promise you, I will so everything in my power to earn business for you and I won't make excuses for things like she has done to you. Not even close to professional receptionist. Worst one I've ever spoken to! Thanks and lets talk about it okay?! Have a great day and I hope to work for you very soon!

I've lived at one of their properties for a few months and have had a great experience with them! They are quick on maintenance and respectful to their tenants. The representative that took us through the leasing process was very thorough and helpful, making sure we knew the ins and outs so that we wouldn't be surprised by anything. We love our home that we rent from them, and their rates are very reasonable. Would highly recommend checking out their properties!
