The entire staff today were AMAZING. Brenda Dinges, Julia, Raven, all the nurses and techs, the student nurses that helped with my mother's care, those doing her EKG's, labs and all her scans gave her their all. They not only cared for my momma, but my well-being too. THIS is the type of care that ALL hospitals and providers need to live up to.

This has been THE WORST experience dealing with a clinic I've ever had. I am a dental student in my last year of school and while traveling home through Kansas during the pandemic my son fell and hit his head causing a laceration above his eye. We promptly took him to the ER where we were seen without delay and were taken care of. A month after we were home I received a bill and called the clinic to make sure they would bill our insurance. As I am going to school full time and we have no income my son has medicaid insurance, billing told me that they weren't sure how to bill with out of state medicaid but they would figure it out and send in a claim. In the meantime I called my sons insurance and made sure that emergency care was covered, our benefit packet and everyone I have talked to with medicaid confirms that EMERGENCY CARE is in-fact fully covered out of state. Fast forward a couple months and Sherry from billing calls and says that we are not covered under our insurance and I must pay or she would send us straight to collections. Sherry refused to give me a claim number or the reason the claim was denied. After hours on the phone with insurance I was able to locate the claim that was denied. I was told that the reason it was denied was because Sherry filed it wrong. Our insurance cannot fix a claim that was filed wrong and would be able to accept a claim for the emergency care once filed correctly. Hodgeman County Health Center refuses to fix their mistake and re-submit a claim the right way. I have NEVER heard of a provider unwilling to re-submit a claim, this is unethical! I have left messages with the CEO and quality assurance coordinator with no call back. This is a huge mistake and it is clear that the billing department is completely incapable of their job. I have now been taken to collections and am dealing with that mess. I would NEVER recommend going to this clinic unless absolutely necessary!
