Decent for one night. Cleaner than expected- though I did have to wipe some food residue off the table. Fridge was very good and microwave as well. |Beds were decent- not too soft and being able to open the windows for fresh air was very good! ||I had a view of a hill behind the hotel which had various animals climbing around. Of note was a dog family climbing their way through the rocks. |From the outside this looked to be in much better shape than the Best Western . It’s close to restaurants compared to the Thunderbird restaurant further into the Park.

This property IS dated, but we were not surprised considering the location. We WERE surprised to find old french fries on the floor under the nightstand! We also found that the "trading post" is not open. Seems to be used for storage at the moment. The biggest disappointment was the "breakfast". We decided to eat at the hotel after looking at the great menu on their website, but when we arrived, we were told they only had a "buffet" available for $14.95 per person, and 1 coffee was an additional $3. We were short for time, so our options were limited at this point. We discovered that the food was not very fresh, and the options were very limited, with no potatoes, and a 20 minute wait for biscuits, which were their only bread option. A slight problem for my spouse who is a vegetarian. We travel A LOT, and have stayed in many hotels in the same price-range, which offer free breakfast. I can honestly say that most of them have been 100% better than this one, which cost us almost $40 with tax & tip. We're guessing the majority of their business must be tour buses, and definitely would not recommend. We enjoyed the rest of our nights at the Thunderbird, which we rate at 5 stars!

We are just leaving the Holiday Inn and were awakened this morning by housekeeping who goes up and down the hallway knocking on every door to wake people at 9:00 am! Checkout is 11:00, so why would they do this We even had our 'do not disturb' sign out and they knocked anyway. Also, there was a previous guest's leftover food in our room refrigerator, so clearly it had not been checked by housekeeping. ||Otherwise our stay has been okay. The room is nice, clean, comfortable. The grounds are lovely but the pool is under construction and there are no chairs outside to enjoy the grounds which include a firepit. In fact, there is nowhere to just sit and relax with friends outside of your room which only has two chairs and is pretty small. ||One other thing to know is that the tap water is not drinkable. At least, it is yellow in color and smells terrible, so bring some drinking water with you. Another reviewer said there is a filtered water station in the gym, but we never got there to check it out. ||So, if you're just here to tour the canyon (which you should definitely do), this hotel is fine and the staff have been very kind and friendly. But there are a few drawbacks.

I loved the location—very close to the park entrance. The bed was comfortable, and it was a nice touch to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room.
However, as a Platinum member, I fully expected to receive a breakfast voucher and was disappointed that none was offered.
More concerning was the water—it was brown, undrinkable, and honestly alarming. I didn’t even feel comfortable showering in it due to the unknown contamination.
Finally, being asked to fill out paperwork at check-in was unnecessary and frustrating. All of my information is already on file through the IHG website, and this step felt redundant and outdated.

I loved being there. It was beautiful. Everyone was helpful. I took a wrong turn in town, and Google maps got me stuck, but I went back the way I came and figured out the mistake. It was a long drive from Phoenix, so I was tired at the time. The hotel does not have an elevator . I had a big suitcase so up the stairs I went. Canyon de Chelly is literally up the road from the hotel. That was a beautiful site. The restaurant had some great food. I ate there almost every day. I wish they were open for lunch. I figured it out, though. The blue corn pancakes & Navajo fry bread were amazing.

I had upgraded my room to pool access as after a day of National parks i felt to go for a swim. However when i arrived i was told the pool was broken for a while already, so the upgrade was of no use. There is no mention on the website of a broken pool.

Rooms are very dated with pretty much no WiFi coverage other than when you are in the lobby.

Breakfast limited as they serve a buffet with a handful of choices, i would go to one of the places down the road.

Location is great but that is about it really.

I stay here often for business travel. I am from the Navajo reservation and have been to many properties on the Navajo Nation and off. This hotel is not luxurious, nor does it state this. It is a place to have a nice, comfortable room with a restaurant on site and a pool. Canyon de Chelly is about 2 miles away, you cannot beat the price for this hotel when compared to other areas off the reservation. It is a good hotel, but don't expect the hotels you may be used to if you are from off the reservation.

Needed somewhere to stay on our travels to 4 corners and this was close enough without having to backtrack the next day from Colorado. Worked great for our needs. We ate at the restaurant there and tried the local fry bread burger. Interesting combination worth trying
