Been getting dyed diesel for my monitor heater for over 10 years from hunt and sons, always prepay for a tank fill of 150 gallons and usually call before I run out. Most the time they tell me 5 days and they show up in 3 or less, if I let my tank run empty they usually say they will come A. S. A. P but expect up to 5 days and while I wait I buy 5 gallons of diesel at the pump to keep the house warm for a few days.

Also switched my propane from amerigas about 6 years ago for hunt and sons propane, way cheaper prices than amerigas. I have always been on will call and call at about 20% but In the last year they put on a wireless tank monitor and they just show up and fill my 110 gallon tank which is usually about 150$ for 1.5 months use.

Horrible business and Experience. Ordered oil and paid almost $500 to have oil delivered and 9 days later we still are without heat. Was told it would be 5-7 days which is crazy in a small town like Quincy. It's below freezing during the day and we have 2 elderly people in home. When we call we're given every excuse in the world why they havent/can't come. They simply don't care about people freezing and should just close the business if they can't do any better than this. At this point we're out of pocket money and still cold. I DO NOT recommend this establishment.

They are the only propane in the area that the Apartments allow. High price, wild charges. I have less people in my home everything and some how my bill is always 100$ more then 2 of my neighbors. I do not run my heater everyday as they do and my thermostat is set lower then theirs.
Their customer service is great and that’s about the ONLY thing they have.

The best! I have been getting kerosene for my monitor heater from Hunt and Sons in Quincy for years and recently dropped Amerigas for propane and went with Hunt and Sons. They are the best! I couldn't be more pleased with their service and prices. Very professional and friendly. Came up to my property in Canyon Dam the same day I called. I only want to deal with local businesses. Alisha, Shawn, and Curt are stellar! AAAA+

Over charges people don’t think they are accurate when checking the meter. Haven’t used my propane heater all winter because it doesn’t work but my bill was still high every month all winter long and I doubt taking a hot shower every other night for 3 people and doing dishes is going to have you at 100+ bill a month

We arrived at our cabin in Graeagle on Thursday afternoon, 4/14/22 and our kerosene tank was empty. I called that day and Hunt and Sons was here in less than 24 hours!

Paid bill in full plus prepaid for a full tank at 9:00 am on a Friday. I told them I was completely out of heating oil.

They assured me I would be put on the delivery route for today.

Called at 5:00 to find out that their office closed at 4:30 and that they don't deliver on the weekends.

Evidently there was a breakdown in communications between the office staff and the delivery drivers. This is unacceptable, unprofessional and incompetent.

Great service and most reasonable price in the Lake Almanor area. They installed a upgraded tank (500 gal) as scheduled. Gave me great advice on standby generator install. A++
