I bought a tractor sight unseen , except pictures, and not knowing anything about Irby tractors I was a little nervous. When I took delivery of the tractor everything was as described and delivery was very easy an on time.
John an Mrs Carrie were great to work with an even the delivery guy was great. Great folks !

Speaking with candor, I'm quite frugal and more than a bit suspicious, so it was difficult to seriously consider buying a sophisticated used machine, sight unseen, priced at more than $20k.
John Irby took the time to answer all my questions, took photos (and a movie) at my request, and helped to arrange shipping for a reasonable fee.
The Kubota was exactly as described- an L3940 with low hours. When I asked if there were any flaws I should know about, he thought for a second and said, 'Well, it's got some sun fade..."
The process was easy, the purchased product totally solid, the seller responsive and *honest*. To paraphrase what he told me on the phone, he's buying carefully chosen trade-ins from selected southern dealers for his lot. He's not doing any extensive detailing, so what you see is how they arrive. "I've never had anyone unhappy with what they bought," he told me. Suspicious as I am, I believe it.
Very satisfied- would recommend/would do business with again for sure. Check my reviews; I'll skewer a biz that deserves it. This ain't that, not at all.

Everyone at Irby Tractors was very professional & helpful. They made the entire process of buying a tractor easy & stress free. Which is hard to find in today’s market. John and his whole staff are fine people. I purchased a Kubota M7060 from him on a Friday afternoon and he delivered it the same day after hours. He told me he would be at my place at 6:10 pm and he showed up at 6:08pm. I ran the tractor Saturday and the air conditioner compressor started making a noise. I called John Saturday evening and he told me he would take care of it.
Monday he called I got the tractor to his shop he ordered the parts and fixed the tractor. He said he stood by his equipment and he made it right. I know this tractor is going to last me a while, but, when I need another one I know where I'll be going.
Thanks John for being a man of your word. Tell your service department people to keep up the good work. I highly recommend Irby Tractor . B East Alexander City Al.

Buy at your own risk. They nit Picked my trade in to death. AC worked when I left house, mysteriously after his mechanic looked at it, ac did not work anymore which knocked a couple of thousand off my trade in. Then I get home and the tractor has to be taken in and out of gear 2-3 times for the tractor to move. I was supposed to get original seat with it at later time. Seat comes in and it won’t fit because they welded the old seat on for some reason.

Update: he replies saying he don’t have an invoice. Another lie. I called 2 days ago asking for bill of sale and he questioned me about my dads one star review ... I told him I knew nothing about it. He said he would email bill of sale which he never did. Shows he knew exactly who Jim Ramsey and I were but played dumb on the reviews. My dad was on the paperwork when we purchased the tractor we traded in. Guess that’s the typical MO here... “we have no invoice” he knows exactly who we are 🙄 guess what, got my bill of sale so you can’t hold that over my head now. 😉 I’ll post video soon of tractor not shifting in and out of gear.

I been looking at tractors 3 years. A friend told me about Irby tractors. I had been to several new tractor dealers most treated me like a child and were just going through the motions to make a sell John and his wife did not dodge any questions and had answers for all. After 3 days of questions and answers and 3 round trips at 120 miles a trip I bought a kubota 4x4 71 hp with a root grabber and a set of forks. In addition John gave me fair trade on my old John Deere. If your looking for a good used tractor I would give John and his wife a call at Irby tractor. My tractor was schedule for delivery today 9/22/23 at 1:00pm it arrived at exactly 1:00 pm the driver was very nice did a great job unloading. very friendly and courteous great prices on equipment and very knowledgeable have all different attachments bush hog brand and and great stock and selection would choose them over anyone else when I need another tractor or implement. Purchased a side bt side and they disclosed everything to my father before the purchase. Great running machine,will do husiness in the future with them for their honesty and integrity and will stand behind what they sell. I definitely will be purchasing my bext tractor from them.

John and his wife are great folks. I was looking for a smaller tractor and he had what I needed. Had an issue with the clutch on it right after I got it, John personally came to my home and got it, took it to the Kubota dealer and is having it fixed. He apologized and didn't hesitate to take ownership and take care of it. If you need a good used tractor, Irby is the place.
