5⭐️ visit to Radiology dept for a CT scan. From arrival to departure everyone was courteous, friendly, and attentive. The technicians who performed the scan walked me through what to expect and kept me updated throughout the process at every step. Just a super group of professionals in every aspect. I’ve had some underwhelming experiences in years past, but the last 12-18 months I have had nothing but stellar medical treatment from every doctor, PA, nurse, and technician. I’m very grateful for the exceptional care and professionalism IACH routinely provides. Thank you!

I presented myself with bad chest pains; and my daughter with some sort of stomach bug making her lethargic and puke everywhere. We got signed in at the ER at 14:29 (2:29pm). EVERYONE who came in after us was seen. A couple that had waited less than 20 minutes were called back when my husband asked, "what was taking so long, and when would we be seen?". It had just turned 17:22 (5:22) when he asked, and we were told we were next up. At 18:01 (6:01) another couple went back and we walked out. Crazy thing is, 30 minutes prior to my husband coming in to ask a couple was leaving and told the front desk they couldn't wait any long, that they'll just go to a different hospital. The lady at the desk asked them to come back when they were halfway out the door. The walked to the front desk, she whispered something and they say back down. 🤔 Weird huh. All I know is my chest still hurts and I be crying and praying myself to sleep, and my daughter will be going to a different hospital in the morning.

December 10, 2024 I went to the Emergency room due to dehydration, chest pain, strep throat and not being able to eat for 3 days as per my leadership than going to sick-call. It has been the worse experience I have ever had in my 4 years of being at Fort Riley. Nurse Rachel checked my weight and I asked her, “How much is the correct weight once translated from kg?”. Her response was, “That’s not my job, I didnt come here for this, figure it out yourself”. As soon as she said that I paused and told her I would not like to proceed with her, she then said, “Fine, I don’t want to deal with you either”, and I requested another nurse. This is the worse experience I have had in this emergency room. I was not heard as a soldier nor a patient. I was treated less than. They always say one bad apple spoils the whole bunch and Nurse Rachel did just that. I have had experience with some amazing nurses before, but no one wants to be cared for in the manner Nurse Rachel did. Our duty as a soldier is not easy as it is, and to be disrespected by a personnel the army deems as those who can be mentors, a safe space, is not how a soldier, a family member or anyone should be treated. Imagine serving your country but being mistreated with your own health due to the poor employment choices in the Irwin Hospital Emergency Department. I reported the incident right there and then at the hospital and it was downplayed in protectance of the nurse, I was accused and lied on about being disrespectful. I will not be bullied or intimated by anyone! No nurse or doctor would want their family to have an experience as such, so it is not right to do it to someone else. You do unto others as you’d like it to be done to you. These are common morals and etiquette. I know what is it to have military bearing and that does NOT entail accepting disrespect. I know my rights as an American Citizen and I know my right as a soldier who serves her country. Anyone can have the credentials to be a nurse, but NOT EVERYONE HAS THE PASSION TO BE A NURSE. I am a mother and soldier and in all my decades of living this is my worse experience at a medical facility in my entire life.

Never felt so neglected from a hospital.
A couple of years ago, I went to the hospital for really bad cramps. I was vomiting, on the verge of passing out, and even had cold sweats. I was basically bed ridden. The lady told me everything I was experiencing was normal (which is false 🫠) and just sent me home with 800mg of ibuprofen.
Now, just this last weekend I sprained a muscle in my upper inner thigh. Came to the hospital and they brought me back and asked just a couple of questions. Didn’t feel the area to see if it was bruised or swollen. And they told me there was nothing they could do and sent me home.
However, I went to urgent care in Manhattan to get a second opinion. The doctor there felt over it, said it was swollen, bruised, and sprained then sent me home with the correct medication.
The staff here absolutely do not care for patients at all. They just want to get you out rather than provide actual medical care.

Amazing teams of doctors who truly care about patients. I am so glad to found this hospital. Very clean and sanitized everywhere. The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained. They have a large parking lot and easy to get inside the building. Every entrances have a sanitizer and disposal face mask. A rest rooms are always keeping so clean. You can find a drinks and snacks vending machine everywhere. I recommend the hospital!

Update:
I just wanted to let you know that I have a TERRIBLE experience at the hospital recently. Physicians were always helpful, I don't have any complain about the physicians. I had to get a allergies and skin doctor appointment these few months. The one of receptionist was so rude attitude every time I went there! What's her problem is!! She always sat at the station 5. Every time I had to go through the receptionists after the check-in the machine, her attitude was awful! She always arrogant me and NEVER helpful. Another receptionist was ( she always sat at the station 8) she, always friendly and helpful. Also, she always smiling at patients.I had to make an appointment at the station 5 ( Ms Moore) receptionist, she made me an appointment. and I told her could you print out the appointment scheduled. But she refused to print out and she kept saying " Your appointment this!! “. I really don't understand her attitude was! I had to make sure that my appointment date. Sadly happen, the appointment was mistake date. I made sure to the my appointment date by verbal and wrote it down because she refused to printed out the paper. I wrote it down the my schedule then I went to the my appointment day, she said " why you coming to here today? You're appointment is not today. " . I told her that " my appointment is this time today. I made sure by verbal few times with you before. " She kept saying to me that " You mistake!! You agreed that your appointment is Monday. " She KEPT BLAME ON ME!!!! But Usually, another receptionist printed out the appointment schedule which is very kind of her. But the station 5 receptionist is never ever helping me at all!! What's wrong with her? I don't like this feeling. I have a ill and I have to cure my illness. Why she kinda attacking me always. You guys have to something. I don't want she attacking other patients.

The staff are great, but it's ridiculous that we wait for so long, and the excuse is always short staff. Had my ticket at 10:19 & 11:20 later I was checked in them waited another 30 minutes for my meds!! A lack of leadership.

I just had surgery at IACH, and I’m beyond grateful for the remarkable care I received! Dr. McCullum K. and the entire ASC team were absolutely amazing, making the whole experience so smooth and reassuring. I felt anxious at first, but their incredible support and expertise truly helped calm my nerves. I can't thank them enough!❤️
