J&J had extremely poor workmanship and it resulted in a very unreliable and leaky outdoor sump pump. Look elsewhere for a drainage contractor.

My family hired J&J for an outdoor sump pump project. They cut corners everywhere and made mistakes that no drainage contractor that stands by their work should make. They installed corrugated pipe that leaked all over place, did shoddy pipe work to connect the sump pump discharge line which busted right away, and initially installed channel drain without concrete. They left the site multiple times claiming the work was finished without properly checking or testing if their installations worked. This forced the customer to discover obvious leaks after each time J&J left site and call them to return. Jimmy made excuse after excuse for the poor work quality and did unreliable patches for the problems and leaks after returning to site. Even after multiple returns to site, there were still leaks on the piping that J&J installed. Eventually the customer gave up on calling J&J back knowing any repair work would be done poorly and it was better to have someone else fix what they installed.

Jimmy and his crew waterproofed our basement. We are happy with their work! We had five companies come and bid. Jimmy was the best educator, and had the best solution to our problem. The crew is nice, does good work, and executed the plan well. They also came back for a minor touch up after the job was done. This really demonstrated that they stand behind their work to me! Consider them for your waterproofing needs.

We were pleased with J&J Basement Systems. J&J was the 3rd company we hired to fix the complicated water issue in our garage/basement. They had to come back a few times to get it right (wasn’t an easy job), they seem to have fixed the issue with very minimal water getting in. We are finally at ease. Jimmie does what he can to get the job done right, is very communicative and has a good crew. We recommended him to
a neighbor as well.

They offered different options that would work for our budget which is great since most companies just want your money and to leave and their crew was great, they always arrived on time. we even are recommending them to our neighbors because of how great the work was.

We contracted with J &J construction for a garage foundation in Feb 2023 and 3 weeks before pouring the foundation he pulled out. Wasn’t happy about the last minute pull out but I’d rather have someone confident about the job than not. He said he would return my deposit after the 4th of July holiday and I agreed and trusted that would happen. I’ve been chasing him ever since (3 weeks and counting; I’m posting this on July 20th) to get reimbursed. Interestingly, he was super responsive while our contract was in place and now he’s so busy he can’t call me back or respond. Huh… He has so many excuses! His admin had a baby, the check is in the mail, he doesn’t have PayPal or Venmo… please.. Do yourself a favor and avoid this this business - super shady. I’m going to have to take him to court to get reimbursed for a contract HE BACKED OUT OF. So glad I didn’t give him the full deposit he asked for. He’s not the upstanding business man he portrays.. He’ll steal from you. Jimmy, what does God say about stealing? I pray for your “come to Jesus” moment and so much more. As you say, “God bless” and I’ll see you in court my friend.

We hired Jimmy and his crew to replace our 60 year sidewalks. He came, spent time going over what needed to be done and gave a fair estimate. We ran into some snags with Newburgh's red tape and some bad weather,but that had nothing to do with them. His 4 man crew worked diligently (even withsome oppressive heat) and took great care of our property while working. The finished project was more than we could hope for!! The follow by Jimmy at each step was great! Would definitely hire them again!
