We had Kansas City Remodel come in to remodel our master bathroom. Allen estimated the time to be about 4 weeks. The gentleman that did the work, John, did a phenomenal job. He was very thoughtful of each step needed, then executed them with exact precision. The final bathroom is beautiful. We chose a product called Onyx for in the shower and the bathroom counter tops. We love it. It is so easy to clean and looks brand new each time. We will absolutely be having Kansas City Remodel out for our next remodel assignment. Allen, John, Cindy and all the remaining employees are each very helpful and so easy to work with. Thank you Kansas City Remodel.

We hired KC Remodels to help hang white boards and other misc tasks around our office. They were GREAT!! Very professional, helpful, so kind and left everything very clean after they completed their work. Would highly recommend and we will 100% be using them again for future projects.

As a first time home buyer, I wasn't sure how to find the best contractor for vaulting our ceilings. I really lucked out with Kansas City Remodel. Allen and his crew were professional, clean, polite, friendly, and I love our new ceilings! They installed recessed lighting, reinstalled the ceiling fan, and painted the entire room. While they were working, they installed this faux flooring to protect our hardwoods so they were never damaged. I was so happy with their work, I'd hire them again for future projects!

I posted my rip-off story on the NextDoor app. I was flooded with responses from other people ripped off by this company. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY!! NOT CHRISTIAN AT ALL? Do not hire this company. they must be removing the bad reviews. I don’t know how they could get so many good ones We did an entire remodel with these this company. When we ask for invoices of proof of where our money was going, because we noticed they were over, ordering items. I told the. I didn’t want allowances on the contract because we were going to pay cash and get them ourself. But they said they would give us allowances at the end. We never received our allowances of several thousand dollars. They don’t respond because they ripped us off. They ruined our design by moving walls to far even though we’ve back, they didn’t listen, They walked away from our job with over six figures. And when we started asking questions at the shotty job they were doing they would make excuses. They did not listen to anything we wanted. Everything we ask for we did not get. They didn’t grout under the vanities. They didn’t paint the inside the cabinet they install the wrong Flooring. They left live electrical wires in the walls. Now they are refusing to give us an allowances back. they flooded our basement and ruined our downstairs. They over ordered supplies I am assuming to use on other jobs or their own homes. Make sure you get invoices because they will overcharge you on things. You don’t need they left us a nightmare, and we had to re-hire people to fix the shotty job. They did these people should not be in business. They have had three lawsuits against them, including ours.I have so many photos of their shotty job I can’t post them all.

BUYER BEWARE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They walked away from our project without addressing so many concerns, the pictures speak for themselves. As you can see, these concerns include: crooked/uneven master shower tiling, shaky grout lines of varying weight from barely visible to much larger, and uneven grout color and grout color not matching the grout selected. The owner told us that color variations are expected with the product we selected but when we contacted the grout manufacturer directly with photos of our project and our grout sample, we were told that when mixed according to specifications, grout color variation is NOT to be expected. The grout is also pitted in some areas. In addition, you’ll notice that tiles do not line up in several places and the mosaic is not tiled flat. The “resolution” to this was to grind down the mosaic so that the result is rough, compromised, and scuffed. In places where pieces of the mosaic are missing, they were filled in with grout. In addition to the absolutely egregious work on our master shower, our LVP flooring had to be installed twice because the first time they did not stagger the boards. The transition from the existing floor to the new bathroom floor was not connected properly, resulting in a gap and unsecured flooring. It appears that the locking mechanism on the LVP plank was removed to set the new piece next to the existing floor rather than locking them in place (there was a locking piece available on the existing floor, ready to be connected). There really is too much to include but I hope the pictures of the master shower give you all the information you need. We were told by the owner of Kansas City Remodeling/Handyman Allen that the concerns we outlined were “minor issues that would be considered typical with the selected tile and within industry standards.” When we asked for clarification on which specific issues should be considered “minor and typical,” we did not receive a response. Our master bedroom closet was used as a “trash shoot” to the construction dumpster in our driveway during the demolition stage. Our window screen was removed, and items were thrown out of our second story window to the dumpster in the driveway. This was done without request or approval and without any form of protection on our carpet, hanging clothing, etc. in the closet. The clothing and floors were left with chunks of drywall and tile, dust, and other construction debris. This is a questionable and potentially unsafe practice that should likely not be used at all, and if so, at least with homeowner consent and appropriate coverage/protection. Per our contract, the project areas should have been swept clean daily, which was not completed. Please know if you contract Kansas City Remodel/Handyman Allen that the work pictured here is considered acceptable by their standards.

Kansas City Remodel did an excellent job from start to finish! We had some old cabinetry removed and rebuilt and the design and quality of the new cabinet is incredible. The whole job was done quickly and professionally, and everyone we interacted with along the way delightful. We're thrilled with the work they did and look forward to using them again in the near future.

Kansas City Remodel & Handyman Allen is a great company with excellent service. I've used them for about 5 years to handle every size project on our two single family rental homes. They've tackled replacing shower heads to building a 400sf deck, and everything in between. I've been in construction for over 20 years, and I'm very particular about the quality of work that goes into our rentals. If it's not good enough for our own home, it's not good enough for our rentals. However, I never have to worry about the work done by KC Remodel & Handyman. They have truly eliminated all my headaches when dealing with small or large projects. They are professional, courteous, and they do great work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a handyman or remodel company.
