I have never had to wait so long for my state refund check to come! I understand that sometimes it could take longer than other times! So I call the department of revenue just to see what's going on!? Like is there something that is happening nationwide? Or what? The lady tells me that it is in the system and is processing! Ok well for years I have always gotten my state first before federal! So all she could tell me is that it is processing! Couldn't tell me why it's still processing after 3 weeks!? Or if I could call back and check! And told me there was absolutely nothing that she could do to check to see what was going on! And also said she couldn't tell me if there might be a problem....or if it would be sent to me next week.....or 3 weeks from now.....or 3 months from now!!!!!!!! And then hung up on me!!!!!!!! WTH is going on? Why is there absolutely no way for them to see what's going on. Very frustrating when you get zero answers!!!! The website has said processing for 4 weeks! So I call to get a better few of the situation! And she can only tell me what I already knew. If you answer all the security questions right and they know it is in fact you asking about your very own tax return! Then why can't they try and see why it's taking so long and give some kind of answers besides ( all I can tell you is it's processing and then hang up on you!!! ).

The worst customer service experience of my life. Was treated like I was stupid because I couldn't afford paying in full, and I'm reluctant to not be able to eat or pay bills. I got laid off of my CSR job, so I know how stressful it can be, but I never took my misery out on my callers like she did. Perfect example of how to be a horrible CSR. I almost wanted to snap back at her, but I decided to be the better person. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Can I opt out of my tax dollars going to this person?

This review is in regards to the lady I spoke with over the phone. I wish I remembered her name because she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions about the newly enacted Homestead property tax refund. Unfortunately I didn’t qualify for this tax year, but it certainly was nice to find that out before I filled out the forms, mailed them off, and played the waiting game to find out. The lady I spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable, competent, and professional.

The fact that 1 star is the default is a travesty. The KDOR is one of the most unorganized government agencies we are forced to work with. I have called numerous times for assistance and continue to get contradicting information continuously. I email with zero responses, this is also so I have records of my attempts for communication. In my opinion this department needs to be gutted from top to bottom and replaced with qualified individuals.

Its like pulling teeth with these people. I sent off my request for a new title for my vehicle on 8/22. Hadnt heard anything in a week. I email them again and they claimed it went out 8/29. This ended up being a lie. I did not receive the title until 9/14 and the envelope was stamped for 9/11.

I have been trying to get my title for my fully paid off truck from Kansas since early April, as of writing this it is late August. The staff are rude and incompetent. They screwed up the first time they tried to mail my title and it was returned undeliverable but apparently they didn't think I needed to know that until I called several weeks later wondering where it was. I've been trying to sell the vehicle and have lost three buyers because of Kansas not getting me the title. Honestly the department would operate better as an extra credit class for highschool freshman
