We stopped by Kassicks’s after our float plane landed. It was around 2 miles from Alaska West Air. For a moment, we thought we were in the middle of some available lots. But tucked away behind the foliage, stood a newer building with inviting outdoor furniture, picnic tables, some covered gathering areas and a small wooden stage for music and what not. They had just come off a 20-year anniversary celebration so they were still buzzing from that. There weren’t many people there in a mid Sunday afternoon, but that was fine by us. Getting our beers was quick and easy and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. There was a wide selection of beers that were categorized by style. (I.e. Hoppy, Light, Dark, etc) After ordering both the Moose Point & KenaIPA Hazy, I can say that they were flavorful and fresh. I would recommend Kassik’s if you are in the area and want a good beer without an overly crowded spot and a great place to relax and reflect on the adventures you’ve had and the fish that got away.

Can't speak to the brewery itself because I've never been there, and apparently it's currently closed, but feel the need to warn people against going to your local Brown Jug or wherever you buy your alcohol and purchasing their "AK Lake Day" double IPA. We made the mistake of purchasing a six pack because the packaging looked interesting and my girlfriend loves IPAs. We got them home and put them in the fridge and later opened one, and mind you it had not been shaken up at all in the 2 hours since we'd purchased it, and I can't imagine it'd been vigorously shook in the beer cooler. I even tapped the can a bunch of times in various places to settle the carbonation because I'm superstitious like that, and it still erupted out of the can like Mount Vesuvius all over my living room floor, which temporarily caused my brain to short circuit and I froze in place while it continued to defy the laws of gravity and overflow all over my coffee table and flooring before I finally brought it to the kitchen where it continued to pour itself vietically from the can. We were like "okay, that was weird" and my girlfriend took it back to the living room and took a sip, noting the taste wasn't the greatest, but she would try to tough it out. Turns out she couldn't and brought it over to me to try to make sure her taste buds hadn't malfunctioned, but she was correct. It was probably the worst beer I had ever tasted with the most horrendous after taste, so she dumped it out. Fast forward to the next day, we had already made the decision to get rid of all of them, and as I opened the remaining 5, the same thing happened with every. single. can! I opened them over the sink, and every single one spewed out over the top down the drain. There wasn't even the telltale hiss of opening something carbonated. It was like the beer couldn't wait to escape the confines of it's container. Needless to say, we will likely never be purchasing any beer from this company again. If you like skunk beer and want your floors covered in alcohol, be our guest.

Great place, great people, great beer.

We were road tripping around Kenai when we stopped in. The current location is little remote but this just adds to the charm of this gem. All the beers are worth a taste but u found the IPA list to be especially thoughtful.

Nice stop for a beer. Large outdoor seating area. This is probably one of the furthest from town breweries we've ever been to but was worth it. Beer was excellent.

Kassik’s is my favorite brewery in the whole country. My wife and I spent the weekend in the area for our one year anniversary in November 2016. We stopped in here and were the only ones as we walked in. Frank was very hospitable and kind. A little later someone local came in and was just as friendly.

We had a flight of a few of them and they were all absolutely amazing. Usually when you try beers at a brewery you enjoy some of them and some you don't, but here we loved every single one of them.

THE RED IS SO GOOD! AND MOOSE POINT PORTER!!!!

He asked us where we were coming from and chatted about his beers, explaining differences to us. His service to us was greatly appreciated and personal. We enjoyed the relaxed country feel of the place and bought a mug, a crowler of the amazing Red and a bottle of a barrel aged Russian stout I believe, that was delicious.

We moved away, but when we come visit Alaska we will make sure to make the drive down here.

Excellent beer, awesome people. We were driving around on vacation while pleasantly "lost" and passed a highway sign with hops on it pointing down a lonely Alaska road -- after our first visit we returned every other day or so to fill our growler. Highest recommendations from two beer lovers. We miss you Kassik's!!
