I purchased a home in June 2022, with the help of neighbors I was able to track down Kerns Family construction as they were the ones who originally renovated the home in 2019 prior to me purchasing it. I reached out in early January 2023 to ask about enclosing a carport for me, screening in a back patio and some other minor renovations. Since they were the ones who originally renovated it, I thought it would be best for them to do it so that everything matched. When I called to schedule someone to come out and give me an estimate, I was cut off by a woman who stated "We don't have ANY appointments until the end of January probably around the 27th!" I should have known right away by her tone that they did not want the job. I explained that it was actually perfect since I work full time and about an hour away and I was actually off the 27th. We scheduled for Mr.Tony to come out and take a look. The initial meeting with Mr. Kerns was great. He was friendly, professional and really fooled me into thinking he was actually going to do the job. Jokes on me 🙂
After taking measurements and explaining what I was trying to get done he did inform me that it would be about a week or two before he could get me an estimate. I explained that wasn't a problem and that I would be waiting for the estimate so we can get this started ASAP. It is now MARCH 16 2023 and I have still not gotten an estimate and very seldom communication! I have called MULTIPLE TIMES and emailed only to be met with excuse after excuse. The last I spoke to Mr. Kerns was 3/1 who informed me he would be calling me by the 3rd the latest the 6th..again, it is now the 16th!!! I emailed and was met with more excuses and was even addressed by a whole different name which is how I now know that they are just pushing me to the side. Its very clear that if you're not a new home build and just a small renovation, they dont have time for you. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!! THESE PEOPLE WILL WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!! Thank Goodness that Zephyrhills is a small community, and I am a very outspoken person. I have informed ALL of my neighbors about my experience. Funny thing is now I'm hearing how a few of my neighbors and fellow gym members are experiencing the SAME thing with this company. Never following through. What a waste of time! DISAPPOINTED is an understatement. Really fooled me Kerns : )

Youre really going to get on here and lie.. I said "no rush" when I got a sob story about you not having employees. Being that youre a larger company I assumed it would be a few days for an estimate (my fault) and said no rush when you said 1-2 weeks. I made it PERFECTLY clear I had cash in hand and wanted to get this done as soon as possible. I will be more than happy to post our interactions as well as the screen grab of the voicemail.
Long story short: This wasnt a full remodel, you didnt think you were going to make alot of money off of it so you didnt want to do it. Simple as that. Honesty is the best policy. I also find it funny how you have not had any reviews in a year and all of a sudden after i post a negative review you have two 5 star reviews in the SAME day.. haha FISHY FISHY! : ) so what’s your excuse for still never calling after I was told I would get a call!? I waited over a week after I was told you would be in communication. Communication is key and like I said you didn’t think this was going to bring you much money so you blew me off simple as that.
