Title: Poor Quality Construction and Lack of Professionalism by Lac's Construction

Our experience with Lac's Construction was deeply disappointing, stemming from both the quality of work provided and the company's lack of responsiveness to our concerns. We had anticipated a professional engagement and were met with outcomes that were unsatisfactory by any standard.

Quality of Work and Material Waste: The construction of our fence line by Lac's Construction was fraught with errors and evident shortcuts that have led to significant financial and functional setbacks. Notably:

Incorrect Construction: The fence line was constructed incorrectly, deviating from the agreed specifications and resulting in a structure that does not meet our needs or expectations.
Waste of Materials: The project was characterized by an egregious waste of materials, due to improper construction practices, leading to thousands of dollars in unnecessary costs for us.
Substandard Gate: The gate, an essential element of the project, was poorly constructed, utilizing neither the full scope of hardware provided nor the necessary craftsmanship. Consequently, it fell down within a few weeks of construction, underscoring the overall poor quality of work.
Professionalism and Communication: When these issues were brought to the attention of Lac's Construction, the response was deeply troubling. Instead of addressing our legitimate concerns, the contractor chose to ghost us, ceasing all communication. This lack of professionalism and refusal to engage with clients post-payment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Conclusion: Given our experience, we cannot recommend Lac's Construction. The combination of poor construction quality, significant waste of materials, and the subsequent lack of accountability when faced with these issues speaks to a lack of professionalism and respect for client outcomes. We urge potential clients to consider these serious concerns when selecting a construction partner.

We recently had some work done by Lac’s construction and I’m finally getting around to sharing pictures of it and how much we are loving it. Charles has great skills with creativity and putting just the right detail to what your vision is. Our back deck is a perfect example of his vision and creativity. We love the way he was able to tie the work Zach Scheuerman did on our front porch extension and our back deck together! We knew what we had in mind and between he and Zach they were able to make it a reality! Charles also helped us make decisions on our fence we put in the backyard. Wasn’t sure how I felt about the fence but so thankful we went ahead and did it! It finished up the whole project and our dogs don’t seem to mind the fence either. The decorative walkway and trim around the deck was 100% Charles and his vision. We love it!! I know there were challenges along the way but Charles again used his creativity and pulled it all together for an amazing relaxing area for family get togethers! We spend a little time every evening on our deck just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and nothing beats the ability to enjoy the Kansas sunrise from our new front porch extension!

If you’re looking for someone that can bring to life your vision and utilize their artistic talents(which I believe is a true gift), Charles will be the one! We are so thankful for our front porch extension and our custom deck and our fence!

I heard about Lac’s Construction from another satisfied customer so I gave the a call, and I’m glad I did. Charles Lacobee was very professional, courteous and explained in detail the benefits of vinyl VS wood and answered all my questions while writing up the bid. The bid was way under the other bids I had for vinyl fence. The job was completed in a timely manner as he said. Charles Lacobee and his crew are the best in the business. We are very pleased the whole process from start to finish. I gave them five stars because they deserve it.

Lacobee construction agreed to put a vinyl fence up for me and take down the old one. We agreed it would be put in the same place as the old one on my property line. However, instead of pulling the old fence posts they sawed them off and there was still the cement underneath in the ground, so they were not able to put the fence posts on the property line, like we originally agreed. They moved the fence in 3 feet then, as you can imagine the problem this caused. I was very upset about this and he agreed to come back and fix it after I let him know I hired someone to pull those posts they didn’t want to pull. He kept putting me off and saying he would be here to fix it, and that I should have said something before the fence was all up. Also however, he did not say he was going to move it in 3 feet and I would never have agreed to this. So I don’t recommend him for doing a fence job how he agreed to in the first place and would NEVER recommend him to another. He said he is not going to fix it. So I hired him because he was cheaper, but now I will have to pay that extra I thought I saved to have someone correct the job he didn’t do correctly. So goes to show, go with an actual good business that you might pay more but you know they will do the job right.

Hired Charles Lacobee to build a pool deck in July 2022 and after a year of showing up when he feels like it and generally only working an hour or two when he showed up, he finally just gave up on the project and left us to finish it. He quoted a price and did not honor it but charged 1/3 more than his quoted price, which I was stuck paying (more money every week) after the project was started and part finished. He did what he wanted without discussing with us first (put a color down we did not choose after we chose another color, put wood trellis on one side after repeatedly being told not to use wood trellis), which had to be torn off. Frequently requested more money to buy more supplies that did not get used and left them all over the yard and deck when he decided to stop working on it. Would NOT recommend.

I needed my fence repaired and both gates(front and back). They did an excellent job. My gates finally function as they should and the fence repair was excellent too. They took down the three panels and fixed and replaced the parts. I am very pleased with their work. Also cleaned up well.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough! From the first phone call I made to the finished product they were amazing! They were prompt, courteous, and true to their word. They put in porch and stair railing for us. Cannot say enough about their work ethic! Great job Charles Lacobee and those who helped (I didn't get their names)! I would recommend your services to anyone who needs them!
