I hired Rafael Sanchez (Lake Side Home Remodeling LLC) to remodel my primary bathroom. It was a complete gut-job and he and his team did an amazing job. They installed a new standing shower and customer cabinets with plenty of storage space. The job was completed a little over the estimated time, and that was due to the teams’ effort in getting things done correctly. I enjoyed working with Rafael and his team and will definitely use them again for future projects.

Rafael did an excellent job, setting up and directing our bathroom remodels. He recommended the Quartz countertop, we selected and, it looks great. Rafael kept us informed when sub contractors were scheduled. He monitored the work to make sure the quality was excellent. I would recommend Rafael for any remodeling project. If I need additional improvements in the future, I will contact with Rafael.

So I hired Rafael to lay down OSB subfloor in my attic. We have a large area above the garage and wanted to use it for storage. I actually already bought some OSB and cut it in half and laid it down on 75% of the floor. I met Rafael and we went over the job. There were some electrical wires in some places and my garage low voltage wires that ran across the attic area where we wanted the OSB to go. I told him to just create some notches in the ceiling joints so nothing will be crushed. He said it shouldn’t be a problem. So he came and bought a worker with him who I think did most the work. I went up a few times to check on the work as the day progressed. I told the worker to make sure to notch the ceiling joist. He said ok, no problem. Upon completion the floor looked to be in good shape and a few areas didn’t have much support but was strong enough to hold me up. This was ok since I was just storing stuff. So I paid the rest of the job payment. After they left I noticed a damaged area in the ceiling next to my attic ladder like someone fell thru. It was definitely something new. I send Rafael a text with the pics and he said he will ask his worker and fix it next week. I’m not sure it will ever get fixed. So I went up to the attic just to make sure it was damage from something falling into the ceiling. I pulled up the OSB the guy put down and there was electrical wire right underneath the OSB no notch nothing! I was a little upset because now I’m wondering where else is this issue? I text Rafael about this and he said he was only responsible for putting the OSB and he wasn’t going to do anything else. That’s pretty unsafe! 2nd part of the nightmare, I had started putting some things up in the attic already and all of a sudden the garage sensors weren’t working, no power to sensors at all. I had a feeling it was related to the attic work. So now I’m super concerned, so the next day. I spend 5 hours in the attic pulling up the OSB and making notches for a few electrical wires. I found the garage wires were crushed under the OSB especially where I started putting things on top on it. I notched everything the way it should have been done and by some miracle the sensors are working now. Luckily I didn’t have to replace the wire. I had to tell my experience because I didn’t want this to happen to anyone else. I’m not a fan and I don’t recommend. There is no responsibility for quality work.

Rafael, the owner, installed all of our Tile in our Guest Bathroom & Master Bathroom floors, walls (up to the ceiling), and even built a custom bench in the Master Walk-In Shower. His expertise shows through his work and business communication skills. I trusted Rafael and he took on this Project as if it was his own home. I will be returning to Rafael for future Projects and I highly recommend him to other other customers and contractors.
