My wife, son and myself took the basic Pistol Training Course with Instructor Christopher Rhenberg. Class was very informative and Chris kept it interesting!!!
After the training portion and testing we went out to the range and fired five different pistols. Chris was very focused on safety and properly handling the guns. Anyone thinking of taking a Pistol Training Course, I highly recommend Chris Rhenberg and Last Redoubt LLC In Kent CT., it’s worth the ride!!!

I recently attended the basic pistol permit class with Chris. His extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor made the class enjoyable and fun. He provided a safe environment where all questions were thoroughly answered with utmost professionalism.

I had such a positive experience with owner Chris at the Pistol Permit class he holds. There was a small group of us in the class which allowed for specific questions to be thoroughly answered and for Chris to share his amazing knowledge of weapons and history. The live fire practice was so enjoyable following the in class course since he prepared us all so well. Thank you for a solid introduction to guns and gun safety! My husband and I participated in a pistol training course, which was run by the owner of the Last Redoubt gun shop in Kent Ct. Chris was very thorough in his teaching, but most importantly, he made me feel comfortable holding a gun. We shot at his private range for hours, and it was actually fun, a little intimidating, but fun. He’s a great trainer, thanks Chris!

I went in there today for the first time to just browse, and ended up being there for 2 and 1/2 hours! Chris is very knowledgeable and personable. He’ll answer any question or concern you have with no issue or hesitation. It was a great experience and I’m going to bring my father in this weekend to get the same experience I had, and I look forward to taking his advanced firearms training course!

Bopping around old Kent when we stopped in here. Chris is great, Military man, extremely knowledgeable on the convoluted CT laws, as well as firearms knowledge. Was a pleasure to chat with him about “Garand Thumb” and how to avoid it, along with a fun demonstration of the clip ejection. First time hearing that classic “Ping!” Great selection of affordable pieces as well as top tier works of firearm art. Will definitely always stop by when I’m back east, and am recommending some family to take his classes for CCW! Thanks again Chris!
