I enjoyed Lenny and Joe’s so very much. The staff working there are so friendly! I ordered baked stuffed shrimp and it was truly out of this world. The stuffing is very flavorful and light. I also ordered the boiled red potatoes and Cole slaw and both were yummy! The only thing stopping me from a 5 stars is the atmosphere. The restaurant is clean yet is it worn and somewhat dull and tired looking. The bathroom could use a facelift too! That being said, I will visit L&Js every time I visit CT!

great seafood place on the CT shore. We go a few times a year - summer and winter. In the summer, there's a large outdoor seating area and merry-go-round that donates proceeds to local organizations. In the winter, they have indoor seating as well as a 4-season porch. They have a good variety of simple foods at reasonable prices. Cool t-shirts available as well! There are a few locations, but the one in Madison is our favorite.

Not a bad restaurant in the sense of atmosphere and service. A bit on the ridiculous side that you were served at a table, a drink was served and refills were charged at the same as an original order for a drink. Might be nice if the refill was at a minimum less than the original you ordered. Food was decent. The lobster roll was alright. Lobster was cooked well, but for the price at least expects an actual roll (not a giant piece of toast grilled into a taco-ish shape) and a little more lump like meat. The lobster was a little more like shreds of meat. Atmosphere was pretty neat, I can see why it’s busy with locals and tourists.

Go here to expérience really wonderful service and food. I ordered 2 lobster roll meals and was lucky to get the January special off -20%. The gentleman who served me was really nice. The lobster on the roll was delicious and fresh -- and a generous amount was put on the roll. The fries were also good and plenty were given. (No bad judgement on the fries -- I'm not a huge fan of any fries ) The lobster rolls are priced competitively and fairly. Yum!!

This place is the definition of 3 out of 5. The lobster roll was way too expensive for the amount of lobster they actually give you. They do that thing where they load you up on bread with a larger roll, and hope you don’t realize it’s just a small amount of shredded lobster stuffed in the bottom. Same roll was used for the Hot dog, however this one wasn’t deliciously buttered and toasted. It was only sort of toasted, without butter, but it was cold so it was just sort of hard, and literally split down the middle. The hot dog didn’t stand a chance. The onion rings were actually just a pile of batter shards with super thin onions amongst the rubble (see photo). It’s like they made a pile of onion rings and we got the batch on the very bottom. The saving grace for the lunch were the clam strips and coleslaw. The fries were ok too. They weren’t busy, so not sure why the quality of the food was subpar. A lot of spots in the area, so I wouldn’t come back here.

The food is fantastic. The clam strips are my favorite anywhere. They are sweet and tender. The breading is light but not so light that it's falling off. The fries were perfect today. Nice and crispy. And the coleslaw was awesome, it's the sweet type. Honestly, with the clam strip dinner I had enough food for lunch and dinner that day. Since it's the off season, there was barely anybody there so we only had to wait for a short time. The merry-go-round was not operating but in the summer it's a must for the kids. I bought myself a quality logo T-shirt for $10. We happened to be in the area otherwise it would be an hour drive for us. Coming here is definitely a treat!

This place never disappoints. Been coming here year after year and I still get the same quality meal at every visit.

The scallops are my favorite. Always so sweet and delicious. Thanks for being a Madison landmark I can count on when I visit.
