We had an old tired kitchen that we survived with for 10 years before we made our best homeowner decision to choose Martanne Construction for its complete remodel. A complete demolition of the space, new beam, restructuring the ceiling, everything you name it! Could not be happier with the professional work, responsive communication, on-time and on-budget! We love that Martanne help us integrate a modern kitchen into our 100+ year old home, the details of matching arch and wood work are top quality.

Martanne Construction recently finished work on my home. I could not be happier! This addition to my home was special. I recently lost my husband to cancer and realized he and I would no longer be moving into a home we could retire in. I decided to remodel my current home to hopefully be able to live in for many years to come. Alex and Jake were so kind and patient with me in the planning, always offering ideas to help me decide when I was stuck. Alex always had great suggestions, has a wealth of knowledge, and can make most any idea come true.
Each crew, whether it was the Martanne crew, who were great, or the painters, electrical, plumbing, tile, concrete, or the hardwood floor people, were all friendly, kind, and professional. They all did a great job, every step of the way.
I love having my beautiful laundry room, now on the main floor. No more trips to the basement, hoping I don’t accidentally fall down the stairs. My en suite bathroom turned out gorgeous! I love my new walk in shower. They were able to fulfill all my wishes, the biggest of which was to increase the amount of storage I had. My new pantry is so nice and has more room than I had even dreamed of. My old tiny closet was expanded into a nice walk in, and I love it! Lastly, they replaced my ancient detached garage with a much larger one, that is connected to my home, something I never thought I’d have. Jake and his crew helped incorporate some of my husband’s things so I have a workshop and a great space to work on projects.
Jake, Alex, Carol, and their whole team, were always so pleasant to work with. Their standards are high and it shows in their work. They are a hard working group! I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them again in the future.

Cannot say enough good things about Martanne! From the onset, Jake, Alex, and their entire team were supper approachable and took all the time we needed to explain choices and trade offs to us. While impeccably professional, we especially enjoyed Martanne's flexibility with making design digestible as the project moved along, this allowed us to move quickly without getting overwhelmed with decisions. In the end, we ended up with a project that adhered to our vision and budget, but included a ton of special details that Alex and Rosa brought to the table throughout the process. Our kids still ask when Wes and the "basement boys" are coming back to see them.

We hired Martanne Construction to completely overhaul our raw attic to convert it into a larger main bedroom suite. It was a complete build-out, from architect's drawings to framing to building a new dormer to insulation to drywall to flooring to windows to paint to built-in shelves, closets and drawers - truly end-to-end.

Even in the estimation phase we could tell Martanne was different from the competitors we met with. The Martanne team was responsive, friendly, helpful, collaborative, accommodating, seemed genuinely excited to work on the project, while the competitors were flaky, non-responsive, and acted like they didn't want our project all that bad.

The communication was extraordinarily high throughout the project, which operated largely on schedule (very minor weather delays on some exterior steps, nothing that slowed the project). We had a group text thread going and were operating as a whole team throughout. We had minor changes throughout the project, and Martanne was very gracious and responsive with the feedback, we had a great open dialogue at every step. We consulted with them often throughout, and valued their opinions and trusted their input.

Every member of the construction team at all stages was respectful and responsible with COVID-19 protocols, including mask-wearing and sanitizing daily.

We have now been living in the room almost 4 months and we're still completely in love. The spaciousness and square footage it added to our house is just awesome. The beautiful built-in shelves, drawers and closets added some much-needed functional storage space to our house. The dark hardwood floors and collar ties are gorgeous. The natural light from the new windows in the dormer and the front of the house is stunning in the room, changing from cool colors in the morning to warm colors in the evening, so the room transforms by time of day.

I highly recommend working with Martanne Construction for any remodeling project, and we will definitely be using them again. Happy to answer any questions for folks considering using them, too.

Jake and Alex and the Martanne team were so great to work with! They helped our vision of turning one large hall bath and a hall closet into TWO bathrooms ... a master bathroom and regular hall bathroom for the kids ... come to life. They also helped redo our upstairs railing, pulled up carpet in the hallway and refinished some old hardwoods underneath! They were so easy to communicate with, timely and professional. They started and completed just before COVID and the whole team wore masks throughout the duration of the project and did their best to clean up after themselves and sanitize high touch surfaces each day. Jake is so thorough and kept us informed on day to day progress and was very open with any construction issues encountered. Alex was so wonderful helping with design aspects and it turned out amazing! We truly love the end result and highly recommend!

Martanne Construction came recommended to us from a friend and we felt so taken care of with Alex, Jake and their team of craftsman. They were able to guide us throughout the design and build process of our en-suite bathroom. From sourcing of tiles to coordinating deliveries with vendors to ensuring budgets and time frames were met, we felt that our project couldn’t have gone any smoother. We also felt that Alex and Jake were able to understand our design vision and even offer great suggestions of their own to make our vision even better. Their customer service was amazing. They were quick to respond to every question my wife and I had and they continually made sure we were happy through each stage. We couldn’t be any happier with our bathroom. It truly exceeded our expectations!

Because of how great the bathroom reno was going, we decided to have them tackle another home wishlist we had which was replacing our old bedroom doors as well as exterior doors. All the projects were handled with ease.

Despite the amount of construction they made sure the house was clean at the end of every day and livable for our whole family. We would highly recommend them to any friends or family who are looking for professionals to transform their home into a dream home!

My husband and I went on the 2021 Remodeled Homes Tours to meet professional NARI contractors and to see their work. We both picked Martanne Construction. Jake is a great contractor and great guy to work with! His work ethic and knowledge is fantastic. He and Alex were with us every step of the way, providing helpful information and resources for choosing fixtures and accessories. Their understanding of internet sourcing was very helpful, and led us to some perfect lighting and tile options. We did encounter some supply chain delays, but Martanne does a great job of communicating, so we understood the process of the progress! The whole team was easy to work with during the renovation. We are pleased with our two new bathrooms.

Alex has been helpful in many ways on design and detail solutions, helping us balance style, function, and costs. She made many trips to our home with samples, swatches, colors, etc., to help us get just what we wanted.

We enjoyed working with them and are looking forward to working with them again for our next remodeling job soon.
