Massey Construction put two roofs on my houses that were damaged as a result of Hurricane Ian. Work included replacement of a clay tile roof, replacement of a composite roof, gutters and soffits. Julio Gonzales was always responsive and returned my calls within minutes every time I called. He is truly a man of his word. Construction is always difficult after a natural disaster. Massey completed a quality job, and Mr. Gonzales was the reason for the completion of a job well done. I am grateful to Mark Massey’s company and all of his staff that worked on both of my houses.

After Hurricane Ian, we had to get a new roof. We called and got several estimates for our roof.
Julio Gonzalez of Massey Construction came to our home and inspected our roof. He took the time to explain how the process would work and what we needed to do . He is very professional, prompt, and honest. He also has a wonderful personality and smile. He kept us informed of the progress and timing of the repairs. They have been a great company to work with. Hurricane Milton created a leak in our roof (installed by another company) that damaged our ceiling and put us at risk of mold if not handled quickly.

Massey Construction arrived within AN HOUR the DAY AFTER A HURRICANE, and fixed everything seamlessly.

Specifically, the Massey team surveyed the issue from both inside our attic and on the roof, showed me detailed photos of the current state, educated me about the issue and options, and fixed it beautifully — including showing me photos of the fix, from every angle. Including leaving me extra shingles, “because they’re good to have.”

Think about this: this is a company that has won numerous awards, whose trucks are EVERYWHERE, and it was the day after a hurricane — and they replied to outreach immediately, arrived within an hour, finished the work same day, and were smiling and exceptional with their work the entire time. These men have homes that were impacted. This company has a ton of business. This was a puny leak in a roof they didn’t even install, and they showed up. They cared.

Would we refer them? Already have.
Would we use them again? Absolutely.
Can we imagine considering anyone else? Never.

Massey did a great job on my roof when Hurricane Ian caused damage. They were with me every step of the way. Their estimate was thorough. They worked with me to get the insurance company to appraise the damage and when the insurer didn’t live up to their policy, they referred me to an attorney that could represent my interests. When it was time to install the new roof, their staff made sure I knew what was going on during each step of the process and quickly responded to any questions and concerns that I had. When we first called Massey Roofing we thought we had just a few damaged tiles. We were quickly informed that the damage from hurricane Irma was far more extensive. When the insurance adjuster looked at the roof he said it was a total loss. I’m glad I called Massey when I did or I would have had to pay for the whole new roof myself. The communication on every part of the job was exceptional. I was notified before each part of the job was going to be completed and even received pictures of the work as they progressed. Mark and his teamed showed an incredible amount of respect for my property and me. They cleaned up after each day’s work and carefully checked for nails on the ground every day. Absolutely terrible company to hire, got work done from them that ended up being a almost year long back and forth of them sending the same guys out to fix their mistakes and finally when a new crew was sent out they would tell us who did the previous job because it was done completely wrong and we would tell them that it was literally your own company. Absolute lack of communication at all levels of the company. If you want cheap work done expensively and to waste your time for months only to have your home be compromised by a terrible job then yes hire them. Also yes I have all of this documented and have proof, you guys are very familiar with our situation as we have spoken with everyone in the company as we were absolutely appalled at the lack of integrity and respect that this company has for their customers and homes. Do yourself a favor and dont bother trusting these people with work, they NEVER FIXED IT EITHER WE HAVE A NEW COMPANY NOW DOING IT.

edit: To reply to their reply; Gotta go through a long list of homeowners you guys have screwed over huh? Shot in the dark here but how about you start replying to phone calls and emails and maybe one of the customers issues you resolve might happen to be ours.
