Best butcher around, friendly people, great products, and stuff that's hard to find. They are quite accommodating about cutting you what you want. Can't recommend them enough. They have a pricelist on their website you can download to see what they have.

I am sad to have to give a two star review. I have been a customer of meadows meat for over 20 years. On 12/14/24 I went to Meadows Meat. Once inside I began ordering my meats with a young lady. I do not remember her name.
I asked her for some thin cut pork chops and was immediately told they only do 3/4 thick cut. Then I was told if they cut the meat a 1/4 inch thick, the meat will shred. I then ordered some wingettes. I told her I did not want the wingettes that are in the bag. ( I do not like the bagged wingettes.)She looked at me and then told me they now charge extra to cut the wings. She then asked how much wingettes did I want. When I told her five pounds, she looked like she was angry. I then ordered three pounds of slab bacon with the rind on cut thin in one lb bags. Apparently, the older gentlemen that walks with a limp cut six pounds of the bacon in three pound bags. When she told him the order he said very angrily in front of me, "I don't have time for that. I am busy." Once I finished my order, I had to ask her for another box because she overstuffed the one box she placed my meats in. That same gentleman mentioned above said," You should have brought bags." I did respond to his comment.
I am very sad to have to look for another meat market because their customer service skills have been released in the river. I have brought and sent so many people to their place of business over the years that I will now have to inform them about the cust. Svc.
I went to Shoprite when I left the meat market and paid the high prices for the thin cut pork chops and other meat.
It is unfortunate you can't get the meat cut the way you want it or get the wings YOU want cut, how YOU want them at a butcher/meat market. It is also disturbing to me that you have to pay extra for someone to cut meat.
RIP Meadows Meat.

I have come to this place as my spot for meats since moving to CT. It is a top-notch business. The quality of meats you receive is exceptional, and the prices are fair. The associates as always helpful and courteous, which is awesome. They are also personable, which makes the experience more enjoyable. Mary, who helped on November 11, was a star! She was so helpful, and we also had great conversation throughout my order. Keep her around, her personality will take this business far! I will continue to grab my meats from here as long as I am in Connecticut. Highly recommend!

Great meat market, I bought lamb shanks, bones for broth (half the price at the grocery store if you can even find bones), stew meat (turned out tender after a sear and slow cook unlike the stew meat from other places which has often resulted in overly dry meat pieces) and chicken. Everything was high quality and the staff are very helpful and kind. Also they’re open very early which is nice!

Meadow meat Co, in Middletown, has been around for years. I remember going there as a kid with my father every Saturday morning in the late 70s thu the 80's and always getting great service. I would ask my dad why are we here and not the big store, he would say because this place is the best for my family, and that's why in 2015 when I needed a pig for a roast, I called one place and one place only. Great people unbeatable prices and high-quality products. This pig fed 30 people. Thanks, guys.

Best Butcher in the area. Customers become loyalists. The focus is on exceptional quality product and a personalized customer experience. The prices are competitive with your local grocery store. If there is a wait (rare) , it's worth it. There is a reason. You can always call ahead! I recommend going inside and having the full experience at least once. Definitely recommended!
