Went to the location several years ago to see if there were any pieces of the old smelter left( This is the slag pile from the UVX Mine in Jerome), and the crew were very accomodating. I am with the CHSM in Clarkdale, and they let me look around and I found a couple things which I gave to the Clemenceau Museum. This whole area was a smelter from 1918-1938. The old smokestack(or the remains) are all down the East side of the hill below the church. Thanks again Minerals Research.
