04.15.22: UPDATE: Leslie has done a great job communicating with me with updates. There still seems to be some confusion if the siding is discontinued or not, it seems to depend on who you talk to at MOR. Bumping the rating up for the communication from Leslie.
First, of the very few reviews here, one is his best friend that was working for him, who botched every job he touched. Another review is made by his partner/office manager. Here is a real review.
When I first met Adam, I felt this was going to be a good match. He seemed to truly care and seemed like a good 'ole boy. Every project that was worked by Adam's crew messed something up each time. Through constant nudging, it would eventually get fixed.
Project 1: I had my basement gutted by Adam and his dad.
Project 2: Hired Adam to dig a leech pit and extend my sump pump discharge. The pit did not work. So, I had to pay him again to extend the discharge pipe and pop up, which then led to the water forming lots of ice on the road. This summer, I hired Adam to reroute the discharge again. His guys finally show up, said they were waiting for Adam to arrive before they started. Adam never showed, so they left and nothing was done. Next day, Adam states they will not being doing the job. I did find someone else to do the job. When they dug up the pipe Adam placed, it was crushed and full of dirt and grass. Turned out the entire pipe was clogged with dirt.
Project 3: Hired Adam and his crew to replacing siding on the house and garage and put new walls in the garage. When the materials finally came in, the work was started shortly thereafter. I labeled the new lights for where they needed to be placed, and they were not placed as directed. No big deal. When putting up the new walls on the garage, one of them nailed into the electric and my garage had to go without power for three weeks, which added more stress because it was during the time I was having my garage door replaced, which had to be delayed due to know power.
Along with the siding on the garage, the crew cut a piece of siding, added a 2x4 to allow a buffer for my neighbors leaning fence. I did not authorize for this to be done this way. When I asked Adam about it, he responded immediately that his crew would not do this. When one of the crew members was here to check out some of the siding that was slipping loose, I asked him about this addition of a 2x4, which is when he said they did do it and explained for the neighbor's fence to lean on it and not damage the siding. Thoughtful, however, this site is not pretty.
On the house, they disconnected one of the power outlets behind the enclosure. I contacted Adam for several weeks and zero responses, so I hired an electrician to come out and figure out what was going on. I then let Adam know, since he did not send his electrician, I needed to be reimbursed for this. Several weeks go by, and all of the sudden his office manager can contact me. She ask for the bill/invoice from the electrician I used and made it sound like this was going to be paid and resolved. I sent the invoice on December 14, 2021. I have not received one response to a text or email.
Project 4: While waiting on the siding to come in, I hired Adam to hand new exterior doors, new storm doors, new sliding back door and all new windows. One window was ordered incorrectly, which was finally corrected a few months later. Three of eight windows were put in incorrectly and would not allow the windows to open from top or bottom. This was eventually fixed as well. The doors have gaps and still allow air flow in. The windows have a breeze around where caulk was done.
I found myself being understanding of of every oops, mishap and error. All I continued to ask for was communication. I communicated this at the very beginning of hiring him for the first time. I get there will be mistakes, but they should be communicated to the home owner and followed with great communication throughout it being resolved. So, my main issue is lack of communication, which is still ongoing today.
