I had a great experience with Morningstar Construction. Jim did a fantastic job fixing my balcony by removing and replacing the rotted wood. We had several jobs for Jim that he recently completed. In each job, he did the work as promised, when promised, and for a reasonable price. Some of the work required adapting to problems revealed after the work started. His solutions were very good. We are 100% happy with his work and his customer service.

Jim did an excellent job building a fence/wall and concrete pad to hide our trash receptacles. He was always on time and completed the project as scheduled. Most importantly he did quality work, above and beyond a typical fence expectation. He understood our vision without much explanation and completed it perfectly and on budget. I would highly recommend Jim for any construction project.

I hired James to come install a replacement sliding door; the old one was completely shot. I mistakenly ordered one that wasn't quite the right configuration, but it was a special order and I couldn't return it. James came up with a plan and spent an entire Saturday doing a spectacular job. He is very experienced with an eye for detail, and the last-minute Plan B install came out great! I would recommend Morningstar Construction to anyone without hesitation. I am very, very satisfied with the work James did.

Work performed was to do dry rot repairs on one of several buildings/museums for South County Historical Society in Arroyo Grande. Jim is responsive and does good quality work. He ensured repairs were properly sealed from moisture. He is very reasonably priced.
