It’s one of the most ridiculous things I have heard! If you do phone bids, they ask you to open up with 5x times higher than online or in person bids. And no one explains that until the last min when the lots come up, and you’d be coerced at the moment. God knows what else they are doing with items or to consigners and bidders. Stay away.

I would NOT BUY anything onlIne unless you can inspect in-person PRIOR to bidding. My opinion is that they are greedy and deceptive. We bought a lot of 53 pieces of Waterford Crystal glassware and all of the pictures on the listing were of the pieces that were in good condition. When we received the order more than 20 pieces had chips in the rims so they cannot be used and will just be recycled. We tried multiple times to resolve this for a partial refund but they refused. We asked LiveAuctioneers for help and Nadeau reponded to them with false statements.

On 1 January 2018 I bought a Picasso ceramic (very delicate and precious!) at Nadeau's Auction Gallery Inc (Windsor, CT) – Ref. Important Annual News Years Day Auction #1159.

Mrs Tara Guilleaume of Nadeau’s Auction Gallery Inc. assisted me from the bid up to the receipt of my Invoice (I won a marvelous Picasso ceramic in their Auction!) and for the payment procedure. She has assisted me in a professional way and with quick answers.

The ceramic is very beautiful and is very precious: it is in perfect condition!

I am very satisfied with this purchase that I made at Nadeau's Auction Gallery Inc (Windsor, CT)!

I will still participate in their auctions because they offer very interesting art objects.

I have been both a consignor and buyer at Nadeau's Auction Gallery. Both types of experiences have been extremely positive and satisfying. I highly recommend them if you have valuable items to sell, or if you are looking to buy. It is a well-run, family business, with a friendly, professional staff. Another important consideration is they are honest, and you can feel confident in doing business with them.

Attending their auctions is enjoyable because they post photos and descriptions on their website ahead of time, and provide several options for previewing the items in person. They have a wide range and selection, and hold several auctions a year. I feel fortunate that we have such a prestigious auction house in Connecticut.

More than happy to expand on my review and the reason I did not leave a one star review for my shipper. You had my invoice and could have easily given him a box with a pair of lamps considering that they were using a dedicated truck to move the Steinway piano I purchased. It is not true that they would not take them as you now claim. I returned your phone call within 5 minutes yesterday - so you could have easily called me about the same items earlier and received the same response. I've never been charged for storage by an auction house and yes I might have paid a reasonable fee to store one pair of lamps. But, no I am not going to pay $600 . So enjoy the additional profits from re-selling the lamps which I paid you around $1,700. . I would have thought after purchasing a piano for around $20,000 I would have been a more valued customer.
