Twice in the last month I have been to this store and twice I was met with a lot of disrespect for asking for simple items. A person should not be talked down to for not knowing what thread a part needs or what size heater hose is required for a vehicle. It used to be that you go to a parts store to get answers and help, not turned away, because a parts counter person doesn't know. Napa used to be a place you could count on for help, now it is just like OReilly's or Autozone.

I had quite an expensive problem, my car seemed to be literally eating batteries. I had one heck of a time figuring out a solution through two days up until I decided to take a shot with NAPA.

I really do not know that I would have been able to solve the issue with my car and batteries had I not met Steve the manager here.

I would recommend trying here first.

Privacy Violated

This location was an interesting one. There were two men who were running the front desk. I had to bring in a 40lb battery that I left in my car. When I went to the front for help, the first man was zero help. He gave me a cart to get the battery out of my car myself. While trying to move the battery myself the battery ended up falling off the cart, and nearly fell on my leg. I am not strong enough to handle these batteries on my own. But I guess that flew right over the head of the first man and he couldnt care less.

It was unfortunate that the second gentleman was on the phone when I initially went into the store because he was the one who was the most helpful. He went outside to help me with the battery, did tests and gave me sound advise on what to do about my situation. I wish he would have helped me initially because now that I think about it, if that battery would have fallen on my leg by me trying to move it by myself, I would have a broken leg right now and the store would be suffering a lawsuit.

So thank you to the man who helped me and no thank you to the man who made me help myself and risk getting myself hurt. I wish I could give the man who actually helped me 5 stars, and the man who didnt help me 0 stars.

EDIT: Changing my 2 stars to 1 stars for this location based on the owners response to my initial comment. If the first man could not help me carry my battery from my car, he could have told me to hold on until someone can help me and he could have went back to tell the owner to help me. But he didnt even ask the owner to help me. All he asked me was "do you have the battery" and when I said that it was in my car then he said "let me get you a cart". So yes, it was never stated by that man that someone would be out to help me move the battery. It wasnt even implied or suggested that someone would come out to help me. And even after I ended up handling the battery myself, the owner didnt show up to help me. It was the other nice worker who went outside to help me after he was off the phone. So no, it wasnt "a wait until I (the owner) got there" situation. I didnt even see the owner until the man who actually helped me went to ask the owner a question, then the owner disappeared again. I hate to leave bad reviews for small stores, because I know small stores struggle. But its unacceptable when a store puts my safety at risk like the first man did and obviously the owner dismissing the issue is doing. And again, I commend the nice worker who actually helped me because he was helpful and nice. But the other worker and the owner of this store are something else.

I went into the Louisville Napa store about a week ago, looking for replacement clips for one of the fender liners on my older Jeep. The gentleman who helped me, removed one of the old ones - because I couldn't get it out- matched the size and even went out and replaced them for me ! That's a lot of customer service for a $ 10 sale. I appreciate him going out of his way to help me - not something that happens often in these times - nice to know some of our small town goodness remains !

Love having a NAPA nearby. Super convenient being able to get most parts same day and great deals online at times. Having sold auto parts for 10 years at other establishments, my opinion is that NAPA has consistently carried the highest quality parts and still does. Very hard to find quality in today's aftermarket parts market.

The staff has always been very friendly and helpful! My cars windshield wipers are hard to get on, and they came out and put them on for me. So helpful ?
