I can confirm that all the reviews are accurate based on my own experience. As a live load employee working for a small carrier, I checked in on Sunday, 9/15/24 at 1:21 am and checked out on Tuesday, 9/17/24 at 8:23 am, resulting in a total wait time of 54 hours and 54 minutes.

Here are some specific points to note:
1. It's not worth spending money on a trailer washout as you'll end up having to pay for it anyway.
2. The lines to get in are long, and the guard check-in process is slow.
3. There's a phone number provided for checking the status of the load, but the only responses you'll receive are "not ready" or "is ready."
4. The personnel at the guard check are polite and respectful, so it's important not to take out any frustration on them as it's not their fault.
5. There's a Love's truck stop nearby, and there are plenty of food options available in the vicinity.

One observation I made is that mega carriers seem to have quicker in and out processes.

This place is dangerous and unsafe. the non english speaking yard hostlers drive way too fast pulling trailers in and out of spaces, everything is buried in muddy potholes, they park the trailers too close together and they lean in the muddy potholes dangerously, you have to wade through mud to hook a trailer or inspect it, and theres a shooting range near one section which has trailers in its line of fire. i spent two hours trying to hook an empty trailer and almost got the truck stuck in the mud and i was covered in mud. DANGEROUS PLACE! USE EXTREME CAUTION ⚠️

I had a great experience here. The line was long no biggie. We came in and out in like about 1hr it was a drop and hook swift and other big company’s have there own section were you drop and go on your marry way. Security was really chill and professional. There’s a shooting range in the lot too lol thanks

I forgot to tell you guys they need only cash for wash out ... security told us is short 1 dollar.. don't give them more and make sure count with them cuz they don't know counting the money !
SO RUDE PEOPLE... STAY AWAY ... THAY DON'T HAVE PATIENCE 3 MIN BUT WE DRIVERS MUST TO HAVE PATIENCE more than 10 Hours!

The only positive is evening shift security. They are very friendly and helpful. Besides that, 24 hour load windows for a drop and hook that delivers the next day is absurd. “Load could be ready anytime from midnight to midnight on this day”. Here I am, 22:00, no load ready. At least Tyson has the courtesy to give a DDT that they meet or beat 98% of the time. Overnighters are part of the reefer life and I don’t mind them when I know it’s coming when at Tyson. Thinking that someone should be making check calls for 16 hours and then should be up and ready to run 600 miles to meet a deadline is absurd.

Zero winners from this terrible system. Zero accountability with a 24 hour window in production and shipping, which is just slowing the process overall. Guard shack has to deal with frustration of drivers even when it’s not their fault. Drivers are forced to “sleep” all day before running overnight after burning a day of no pay in the boonies of southwest Kansas. Trucking companies are losing when a load they planned thinking it would be a simple day shift run turns into an overnighter, which burns up the next day when you have to take your 10 after delivery.

If you’re a true live load, my condolences. Oklahoma City, Dallas, and Kansas City might be genuinely worth your deadhead if you value productivity and sanity.

I heard the horror stories here and was very skeptical about coming here. My appt was btwn 1/6/24 at 0000 to 1/6/24 0014. I arrived around 1222p and of course load not ready. I left my name and number and parked at the Love's up the street. However, they do have overnight parking too. I got a call around 735a next day saying that my load was ready. The people there were very nice as well. Ty

Guard shack people are very rude and incompetent to do their jobs! If given the choice I’d avoid them the night guards were the rudest! Also for those who drop your empty trailers so you can pick up a load when they finally decide to load it, a fair warning now they say they don’t have enough room for you to drop your trailer so you have to keep the trailer till it’s convenient for them. Oh and they took out the other guard shack area now only one truck in the rest park in middle lane in the road behind cone which is on the side of the road but they will come out very rudely and yell at you without warning never want to deal with them again. Also yard jockeys are very rude and impatient you’re trying to back your trailer in and they will cut you off driving behind you so please be careful and watch for them because they won’t watch for you.
