Rough, small. Relatively unfriendly. But bareable. GET THERE EARLY( if you've got bags) then wait....forever/if you ever get to leave at all. Just take deep breaths, and you'll get through this.

Just needs a baggage carousel to make it great! If you've never been to Nome, just watch the locals (or ask anyone) to know what to do.

If you park overnight, it is across the street. No handicapped long-term parking available.

Alaska Airlines and TSA employees at the airport are all great!

One of the smallest airports I have ever been to. After we landed and went to pick our luggages, it quickly felt cramped. Yet everyone was patiently waiting and very cooperative when you found your luggage. Similarly, when flying out, the moment you cross the securities, the place is very cramped with passengers. But we were quickly sent out to board the plane. Nome itself is a tiny little beautiful town. The airport complements it.
