Overlook park is great for trail running! It is hot and there isn't a ton of shade coverage but it is beautiful. Highly recommend!

Peaceful place, good for hikes (steep but not too difficult), prayer and meditation, lots of space for parking, has restrooms, skatepark is adjacent, can recommend

This is a cool place to park for free. I didn't go to the skate area, but it looked nice. If you are hiking, it's a great starting place.

Good hiking trails located above American river. Skatepark was not open but it looks like it has some good bowls and street style options. Unfortunately it was smoky from fires in Tahoe area.

Great access to hiking trails with great views and elevation as you descend into the ravine immediately and steeply. Parking lot is shared with a skate park that is tucked away in a hillside /swale and is irrelevant once you hit the trail.
