After an initial consultation about septic drainage issues, we were told they would do a soil test and obtain a permit from the county health department and then we'd discuss options. A representative of Peoples came out and dug a couple of pits for the soil test, and we paid them for the digging and gave them the money for the permit application. In doing so, they hit a field line, which has turned a minor backup into a septic swamp in our backyard (the employee simply covered the busted field line back up with dirt without capping it). When contacted about this, we were informed "these things happen, and we can't stop it".

The tester eventually came out about a week or two later, and we waited for any communication about what was going on with the permit. We called our contact's cell phone number repeatedly for a week with no response, and then had to track down a different number for the office in order to get in touch with anybody. When we finally tracked him down, our contact said they were "too busy" to file the permit, and we had to do it, and he dropped off the test results and permit to our house in a manila envelope (as well as the money we had given them for the permit application).

We filed the permit ourselves and in the meantime had to get our septic tank pumped (using a different company) as a stopgap to keep our scum water from leaking into our neighbors' yard and generally stinking up the neighborhood. And when we finally got a response from the county, they would not grant us a permit due to insufficient information in the original test report, which appears to have not been up to snuff either, in keeping with the trend. All in all, we paid several hundred dollars to Peoples Sanitation so they could help make our lives worse. Thanks.

My septic tank needed pumping badly with all the excess rain we’ve had, these guys worked me in at a short notice and when they got to the house told me about another chamber in the tank, I’ve never seen that part pumped out before so that was new to me, they done a fantastic job and at a smaller price than another local provider that I’ve used several times that only pumped out just the one chamber of the tank, they were very professional and with the cover up of the hole dug I’ll have little or no settling of dirt or extra cleanup of my own, so I rate them 5 stars and you can bet I’ll be using them from now on, thank you (Peoples Sanitation) for a great job and helping me out.
