I am a Mortgage Originator for a Broker in CT and Attorney Lynn Pinder was the closing attorney for the Buyer in a recent transaction where I arranged the mortgage for the Buyer. This was, by far, one of the most difficult transactions I've worked on in a very long time. Attorney Pinder was professional, thorough, and on top of everything from the beginning. She did a tremendous job keeping the transaction together. I truly believe that without her guidance, and patience, this transaction would have fallen apart. My wife and I hired Lynn Pinder to handle a real estate transaction upon a referral from our Real Estate Agent. We were left underwhelmed and disappointed. Admittedly, we had a tricky and complicated transaction including a leaseback, but feel our representation should have been better. We don't feel our concerns were addressed to our satisfaction, felt there was absence of an attention to detail and little interest in standing up for her client to address a specific issue that arose.

Particularly troubling was failure to provide us with key documentation the sellers provided her at the close of the transaction (this information came to our attention unexpectedly after the transaction was closed, but could have been helpful at the time, as it had broader implications for us down the road).

Perhaps most disappointing is when my wife and I reached out to Lynn a year later when court documentation required context about a component of our transaction, Lynn did not respond to our inquiry.

I’m not saying Lynn isn’t an accomplished and credible attorney – she may very well be. However, when hiring an attorney, you want someone detail oriented, who understands the nuisance of your particular transaction, and is in your corner. We do not feel our experience with Lynn met these standards.
