Avoid at all cost! I took a mature bull elk there and I was definitely short on meat, missing an entire back strap. Estimated 50#s short total. Also the place is not clean and uses the lowest quality butcher paper, offering little protect from freezer burn. Do yourself a favor go to Mountain Meats in Craig they have #s on the door and will meet you after hours. I wish I had known this. They did my partners elk and it was so much better, vacuum sealed and SO much more meat and his bull was smaller than mine.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ELK HERE

We took 3 elk here for processing and what a mistake this was . I received back a total of 71# of meat. My elk had great back straps that weighed 16# and all 4 quarters in tact on a cow elk that was healthy and as big of a cow I’ve ever taken in. I received 4# of back strap back , 3 roast and 10 # of round steak. They completely butchered my tenderloin which I requested to just package hole. My tenderloin was sent back in 2 packages only 1# each. At least 1/2 of my elk was not returned to me. When I asked him where the rest was he stated that it was bad and had to be trimmed out that much.My elk was shot clean and was in excellent shape when it was dropped off.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost.

We had a Muley that we took to this processor and had a wonderful experience. Everything was packaged for our family of 2 and they helped us store the meat there for a week while waiting to go to another hunt trip. They were helpful in getting us ice and supplies for the trip home. Now that we are home and have tried the meat we are very pleased. Highly recommend this place

You guys did a great job and I am very pleased with your finished product. I process my own Deer in North Carolina and am so pleasantly surprised at what I have in my freezer that you prepared.

Fantastic people, super friendly and got our cow in for processing super fast! Packaged perfectly for our family. Final test will be a few months down the line to make sure it’s all our cow (the last place kept part of our cow and replaced it with a gross tasting older cow) but as wonderful and kind as Jay and his family have been, I’m honestly not concerned. We will be using them again!

Would not recommend. We asked them to cape out the head. Which they failed to do. Instead they just froze the entire headed which can't be transported across state lines. So we waited while they tried to figure a way to cape it out. Come to find out they used hot water which ruined the cape anyway. Second they failed to give all the meat. We only received halve of the tenderloin and back straps back. Third they are way over priced for the buchering considering that the elk had already been deboned. I highly recommend going somewhere else if possible

Let me begin by saying I don't like processing, but l am from out of state and really have no choice. Nevertheless I killed a nice cow and dressed and quartered the animal. They did ok. I tried some of the hamburger tonight and they did a great job. I think you get what you pay for. For the money they did a good job. I would go back again. I probably would get it all ground except the loins. But that is just me.

Every time we came up here with an elk something was wrong and they couldn’t or wouldn’t take it when the elk was perfectly fine. Never have a I seen a processor that refused 3 different elk. I don’t ever post reviews but this is crazy. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
