Generally very happy with my QT-54. I do have several suggestions. 1 - Instructions are very clear that the comprssor is top heavy, however hooks or holes are not present to tie down the comprssor during installation or transportation. 2- Instructuons are not clear about the need for the use of isolation pads while mounting rhe compressor to a concrete floor. 3 - The electrical cable from the pressure switch to the motor is inadequate. Only a 12 gauge cable is provided, while this cable should be a MINIMUM of 10 guage. During start up my compressor draws 36 amps, which exceeds the capacity of a 12 ga wire. 4- I had a question during my install. I called technical support and was quickly connected with a technician who was able to answer my question immediately. Good job!

The personnel I have communicated with in Alabama have been outstanding, unfortunately I recieved a compressor a month ago with a defect, the staff at the plant have been advising, so the situation currently is still on going. The item is a QT - 54, looks very solid, so currently waiting for the recommended certified local tech support for repairs, as I live in a different state than the company.

We purchased the QGD-30 rotary compressor in July ‘23, shipping was $350 and would’ve been over a week late so we sent our truck to pick it up. Quincy won’t reimburse.

Then compressor once installed would shut off time and time again on bogus temperature readings. Quincy took almost every single component out of the machine to replace it. Now we are sitting here in Oct ‘23 with it finally working hopefully.
No compensation at all for the problems that we had with their brand new compressor not working right for 4 months. When I called and talked to them they acted like they had no idea?!? Bad customer relations and service.

Update: Contacted by vise presidents and told them what had happened. I created a modest proposal on what they should do as a company. Pizza, wings, shirts and hoodies. pay for shipping and take care of the service tech with a gift card that was here 3 months. Of course as we thought they have stopped contact with me and they sent a tiny package with a hat and coffee mug... big company like that screws up and then slaps us in the face... 10/10 would not recommend!

Quincy Compressors have been a part of my working life for over 40 years. I'm now semi-retired and hoping this newest Quincy will now out last me and will last a long time to come for my oldest son.

I am very pleased with my Quincy compressor. It provides constant pressure even during extended runs. It is relatively quiet and the controls are easy to use.

I purchased a QT-25 machine from Quincy with the addition of a dryer. I sized the machine based on the manufactures claims made about the compressor. We run a couple of cnc machines with tool changes at 4cfm for about 30 secs. In addition to that we often run a vacuum chuck at .8 cfm. We also use air to blow our parts off. The QT25 says it can run 15.7 cfm at 100% duty cycle. However, the machine does not perform at this level, not even close. At worse case I am running at 10 cfm intermittently. MY compressor cycles on every 3 minutes and runs for 3.5 minutes to fill back to tank pressure. Due to this the motor over heats and shuts down despite the claims of 100% duty cycle. I contacted tech support and I was told it can only run at 60% duty cycle at best. The 100% claim is found on the website as well as a big sticker on the front of the tank of the compressor. I would not recommend using the data provided by Quincy if you plan to size your compressor. The technician told me I needed to contact one of their distributers to figure out what I needed. I can only assume the distributer knows better from past experience or they have a different set data. Apparently, the data on the website and distribution channels like northern tool cannot be trusted. Quincy is not doing anything for us to correct the issue or to apologize for false claims. We are now looking to purchase new equipment. Lessoned learned.......

Reliability you trust? They need to change that slogan. Only had my 5HP $1999 compressor for 21 months and the motor went out. Was charged almost $1500 to fix it. Look somewhere else. Definitely DO NOT buy a Quincy. Unless you need write offs every year.
