I’ve brought my car here multiple times, and the outcome is always the same. It started with my car overheating and I took it in and was told a hose needed to be replaced, it was replaced quickly and ran well for maybe 6 months before overheating again. This same thing has happened 4 times, and each time it is an $800 fix and I’m told to keep an eye on my coolant because it has leak. I’m not a mechanic, but it would make sense that the leak should’ve been fixed along with the hose the first time it was brought in, right? With that being said this place feels like a money grab!!!! I will not be taking my car here for anything in the future.

Guys over at Ron's did a great job installing 2 Alcom aluminum flat beds to my trucks. One truck regular flat bed and the other with a dump hoist. They did custom work and payed attention to details.
Good communication. Fair prices and quality work. Very pleased.

Started a job for the guy. 80% complete horse trailer gets taken away because he needs to go on vacation doesn't come back and I'm out $2,000. Unreliable place I would recommend not to do business with them. They owe me 2000$ . Trying to get payed now for 2 months. If u see this trailer the owner owes 💰.

In Connecticut, repair shops must post a sign if they charge a diagnosis or estimate fee. If the fee is more than $50, you must sign a written consent.

They charged me 185$ for diagnosis, no repairs were made. 8am Sept 7th 2024

They were both misled about the pricing. Now I'm a former tech so I know the difference between a guesstimate price with a warning that it could cost more and outright scheming. This is an outright scheming shop which is why they have a 3.6 out of 5 in the year 2024.

Stay away there are much better options.

I was referred here by TireRack to install 4 new tires. Scheduled an appointment with the understanding that I will need to wait for the car. I was assured it will be 2 hours. Arrived at 8 am on time on the appointment day. Waited and waited until I was told I needed brakes on my X3, and it would cost an additional $1700. I declined it. So it was just mount/ balance 4 tires with an alignment. To do this, it took 4 hrs with no explanation why it took so long. I am no mechanic, but i know it doesn't take 5 hrs to do tires and alignment. They knew i was there waiting in the hot lobby and didn't keep me updated. This poor service. I'm not using them again. UPDATE 10/5./23. Brought my X3 to a different mechanic in Torrington for the brakes. This mechanic said it was time to replace them and charged me $847 for front and back pads and rotors. PREMIUM parts were used. No special procedures are needed except replacing the wear sensors, which is simple to do. So how did Ron's come up with $1700 when I got it down for more than 1/2. For sake of argument, I went to a few other random mechanic shops who quoted $840 to $1100 for bad and brakes. It pays to shop around. I'm just saying ...

After waiting for an alignment, I was told that my tie rods were frozen so he can only perform the alignment on one side!! Makes no sense and my wheel alignment was worse than before. My steering wheel sat 10 degrees to the left causing immense uneven tire wear. If my tie rods were frozen you should have not completed the alignment and sent me on my way. Instead you wanted to make a couple bucks and performed a half of an alignment.

The girl who works there is so rude and if you ask her something she gets mad! I'm sorry to not be knowledgeable of certain things related to what she already knows cause she works there. That's why I went for this automotive center. When you try to have an appointment she doesn't have one. She doesn't provide a good customer service. there are other guy who always provide a good customer service, polite and helpful, efficient.
